LMAO I cannot believe I wrote Gorillas here..I was also answering a work email! Oops that will teach me for trying to multi task at 1am...I had in my mind the blogger who wrote Gorillas dont know the rules!

I'd have to agree. No-one comes even close to beating Dave's portrait photography despite the fact that there are some very good photographers on here. What makes it even more impressive is that he doesn't even use a DSLR to capture these shots.

He is currently in Java at the moment and I look forward to the resumption of his blogging and hopefully more wonderful pictures when he returns 😊 Reply to this

2011...what a year...my first anniversary as a blogger approaching...it has been an amazing learning curve...and all thanks to the Travelblog community and their encouragement.

It would be remiss of me to not set out my thanks and nominations in this thread for a fabulous 2011...so for starters:

Roslyn Amiss...rma...introduced me to Travelblog...who with her husband Mike were our travelling mates in Mali & Ethiopia. As Matron of Honour at Our Tuareg Wedding her own blog on that event still makes me smile Festival of the Desert Wedding, Mali.

D MJ Binkley...Dave & Merry Jo...I cannot thank you enough...in your voracious consumption of blogs...discovered this humble blogger as I danced through Mali...encouraged me to write my quirky stories...never done any travel writing before...not sure if I get more kudos for my writing or my pics...when we get to USA...make sure you are home..!
