So we are, at last, home from our wandering, and it's the first week of March in NNY. That is often a cruel month here, a month that will taunt you with the promise of Spring, only to lash you again with storms that can be the worst of the whole Winter. Still, there is no denying that the sun is warmer now, Mom's old crocuses in the front garden know it, and they will bravely be pushing their buds up soon. It may not seem like it, but Winter is in retreat, and just fighting a losing, rear-guard action.
