Vorgestern habe ich Stockholm erkundet. Ich habe die Stadt ja schon 2008 fuer 3 Nächte besucht und wäre beinahe letztes Jahr fuer ein Projekt dorthin geschickt worden. Leider hat das aber nicht geklappt. Wichtige Sehenswurdigkeiten wie den Königlichen Palast inklusive Wachablösung und das beeindruckende Vasamuseum habe ich daher schon gesehen und habe diesmal die Bibliothek, die Altstadt mit dem Nobel Museum und das Museum fuer Moderne Kunst angesehen. Zwischendurch habe ich im Starbucks-ähnlichen Espresso House einen Frappuccino getrunken. In der Altstadt habe ich nämlich merkwuerdigerweise kein Starbucks gefunden. Den Palast und die benachbarte Kirche habe ich diesmal nur von aussen betrachtet aber die Lage der Innenstadt mit dem vielen Wasser und den Inseln war wie schon letztes Mal sehr beeindruckend. For my mom’s 60th birthday I decided to take her on a road trip throughout Europe. After some discussion, she decided on three Scandinavian countries—Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. The two weeks that we drove were wonderful, a time where we got to see and experience amazing sights, cities, and attractions, as well as spend some needed quality time with one another. We covered 3090+ km on the roadtrip. This is the second part: Sweden. We left early in the morning from Oslo, headed toward Stockholm. The first half of the day was cloudy, and it rained a few times throughout the drive. However, once we arrived to Stockholm, the weather cleared up, and the rest of the afternoon was beautiful. Voilà, mon premier voyage en solo se termine. J'ai donc décidé de faire un résumé de mon voyage sous la forme de différents classements. Cet article sera beaucoup plus long que les autres, mais il peut vous donner une idée sur les villes principales de Scandinavie. Les villes : Vivement conseillées : Copenhague est une ville très belle avec des bâtiments magnifiques en ville, des musées et des châteaux magnifiques. L'ancien et le nouveau y cohabitent parfaitement. Roskilde, une petite ville près de Copenhague, est définitivement à visiter si vous êtes de passage au Danemark. Mention spéciale pour sa cathédral. Today was going to be a long travel day as we made our way back home to Los Angeles. We had an early but short morning flight from Helsinki to Stockholm where we then had about a 7 hour layover. Upon arrival in Stockholm, I quickly realized that I had left my passport on the plane. After quickly making my way back to the terminal and realizing that there was no way they would let me back on the plane, I had to quickly figure out what to do next. I just needed to ensure that somebody retrieved the passport before the plan took off for it's next destination. Revoir Stockholm après tout ce temps me rend nostalgique. Un an est déjà passé... Je me fais vieux. Pour ceux qui n'y sont pas encore allé, je vais quand même écrire quelques mots ici. Alors, Stockholm est une très belle ville. Je la redécouvre aujourd'hui, mais mon impression est la même que la dernière fois. La vieille ville est vraiment intéressante à voir, il y a beaucoup de vieux bâtiments très beaux et elle regorge de boutiques. Beaucoup de musées sont gratuits ici et certains d'entre eux en valent vraiment la peine. Comme Stockholm est une ville moins centrée qu'Oslo ou Copenhague, il est intéressant de faire une visite guidée en bus ou en bateau.
