Hello everyone !!!! well i am glad i found this blog - long story short - I am doing my master thesis about place marketing - Stockholm is one of the cities I will be writing about - so I would like if any of you could give me some feed back, what you love about it - what you don't. And just a general option about the city - this will be used as part of the research being conducted for the thesis, and your opinions are greatly valued!!

thank you!!!!

Gamla stan is very beautiful indeed, as most of the guidebooks say, but the nightlife there is also quite good. The pubs are very deep and have such a small corridors. It's quite unique, it reminds me somehow to some places in Madrid also.

Slussen area is also quite nice and the music is good. Reply to this

Hello viedma - great to be getting feedback! really appreciate it!

Just wondering, when have you traveled to Stockholm and how long were you there for?
Also was Stockholm different from what you had expected? what did you imagine it to be, and is there anything that you were right or wrong about. What's I am looking for is if you're had some preconceived notions about Stockholm, and if so what were they?

thanks again for your reply! Reply to this

You are welcome!

Actually I came here 2 years ago to do my master and I'm gonna keep living here, so you can imagine.

I'm originally from Spain and I can tell you Stockholm in summer, oh my dear is so much nice.
In all the other 3 seasons Spain beats Stockholm, no doubt. In Summer is like a dream, a little venice in the north of europe (although some people say that is copenhagen).

It was different... yeah I expected to be more cold (is not that cold actually) and I didn't expect to be so dark in winter. Some days are like 3-4 hours of sun.. 😞

Swedies are shy, they look like they are not but they really are! and they really have a problem with alcohol.
In spain we drink everyday controlling what we drink, in Sweden they only drink weekends and drink WAY too much!

Stayed there for 2 nites ex Helsinki..arrived on morning ferry and eapretd at nite for Tallinn. Loved the palce and the changing of the guard..shopping was great too as was eating out...went to those restaurants near the big park and down to the harbour. Went on a harbour cruise to see the bays etc. The streets were colourfully decked in flags as well. Reply to this

Operakällaren is a must for me in Stockholm every time I visit it. It really is a classic place for a dinner.
