Geo: 53.8817, -131.457Our first full day of cruising started about the same as any other cruise with sleeping in and sitting on the balcony. However, it was a little colder than we have experienced when I was out on the balcony. We had our Disney Vacation Club Member party at 9:00 so that was the official start to our day. Kelsie was hungry so she left the presentation early. The others of us had brunch at Palo at 10:30 so we headed up there. Our waiter was awesome and the food was delicious. We had our Platinum Castaway Club party at 11:30 but couldn't tear ourselves away from the food to make is it so Kelsie was there to represent. After the party for Kelsie and brunch for us, Kelsie went to Vibe and we relaxed for a ... read more

Geo: 49.2605, -123.114Today we walked across the parking lot to Starbucks to grab pastries for breakfast. Then we loaded up the car and headed to Canada Place to check in for our cruise.Today was Canada Day and there was a big celebration going on at Canada Place and it was so crowded. It was once we got into the garage, it was a breeze to drop the luggage off and return the car. Getting through customs and checking into the cruise were also very simple. We waited just about an hour before they allowed us to board the ship. We had our photo taken with Mickey while we waited.Once onboard, we went to Parrot Cay for lunch. Then up to deck 9 and swimming until it was time to go to our stateroom. Regan, Kelsie and ... read more

Geo: 49.2605, -123.114We started out our day today with breakfast at McDonalds just down the street. Then, after a quick stop at the hotel to pick up a few forgotton items, we headed toward Downtown Vancouver. We drove past the city and on to Capilano park to explore the Rainforest. The park is built on a hill in beautiful wooded area just outside Vancouver. There are three main attractions: the suspension brige, treetop adventure and cliff walk and all three give you the opportunity to see the beauiful forest. We had lunch at the park and I got to try poutine. For those who dont know, it is french fries sprinkled with cheese curds and covered with beef gravy....mmmmm. We spent more time at Capilano than we thought we would because it was such a cool place. Geo: 40.7595, -111.888Our first day of vacation was fairly relaxing. We didn't have to be at the airport until 10 so we didn't have to rush to wake up. Security at the airport wasn't too bad and we got to our gate in plenty of time. The flight left about 15 mins late and didn't make up the delay in the air so we arrived in Seattle late as well...but, no worries since we didn't have any place to be.We picked up our car, drove to McDonald's for a quick lunch and then started our drive to Vancouver. We arrived a little before 5 and checked into the Vancouver Airport Marriott. The room is a suite but is very small, we have one tiny closet so nobody will be unpacking. Guess this is in preparation for ... read more

Geo: 40.7595, -111.888 Well, after about 3 hours of sleep, we got up, showered, went down to the lobby to say goodbye to Eduardo before boarding the bus and going to the airport. The flight went off without a hitch and we made it from Quito to Houston on time. Customs, baggage claim and security took about 2 hours in Houston and then we grabbed a quick lunch before boarding the flight from Houston to Salt Lake City. I am looking forward to a nice long sleep in my own bed tonight. Post Trip Thoughts. As on our previous Adventures by Disney Trip, our Adventure Guides were amazing. Laura from the US and Eduardo from Quito made sure that our every need was met. It was the attention to detail that Disney gave us that make ... read more

Geo: -0.223151, -78.5127We had to have the luggage outside our stateroom by 6:00 am today so we decided to pack completely and put the luggage out the night before so we could sleep in as late as possible. Breakfast was served until 8:00 so we set a 7:00 am wake up call.Breakfast was a buffet as usual. We all sat around and visited until our 8:30 meeting time. We got to be the last group off the ship (another Adventures by Disney benefit) so we didn't have to sit at the airport as long as other groups. We met in the piano bar to visit for about 90 minutes before boarding our zodiacs for the last time. We were at San Cristobal Island today. Our first stop after getting off the ship was a short ride bus ... read more

Geo: -0.397221, -90.2839Today we had the buffet breakfast before heading out on our morning excursion to North Seymour island. This was going to be our chance to see frigate birds in the mating season as well as Blue Footed Boobies. The male frigate bird expands a red balloon on it's throat to attract a female bird. Our first glimpse was of one flying overhead. We walked along and saw land iguanas, sea lions and juvenile blue footed boobies (they don't get the blue feet until they are two years old). We saw numerous baby sea lions that our Naturalist Viko assumed were between 2.5 weeks and 2 years old all over the island. We were only able to see one Blue Footed Booby but, at least we got to see one.!Then it was back to the ... read more

Geo: 0.317229, -89.9574Breakfast was a buffet in the dining room as each morning. Then we headed to Genovesa Island. Actually we were anchored inside the caldera of a volcano so we were basically already at the island. We took the zodiac to a cliff wall where we climbed some steps in the cliff wall and climbed to the rim of the volcano. There we saw our first glimpse of boobys. We saw nasca boobies at first and then as we walked along we also got to see red footed boobies. We also saw frigate birds and marine iguanas. Then it was back to the ship for lunch. After lunch we did our white elephant exchange before getting ready to go to our next shore excursion. In the afternoon, we went to a beachy area in the caldera ... read more

Geo: -0.357053, -90.6812The shipwide wakeup call was at 6:30 am this morning. Breakfast at 7:00 and then we met in the Adventures by Disney meeting place at 7:45. The rest of the ship didn't leave for their excursion until 15 minutes later (another reason to visit the Galapagos on an ABD trip). We went to Bachas Beach on Santa Cruz Island. We walked along the beach on sand for about an hour where we saw Flamingo, marine iguanas, crabs and marine iguanas. Then we snorkeled around the reef and saw many fish including parrot fish.Once we were back on the ship we had some time to shower before it was the social hour at the Jacuzzi deck. The social hour was immediately followed by lunch. After a short break, we had a tour of the ship ... read more

We had about a 2 hour and 45 minute bus ride to the airport in Quito where we went through security and then waited in the Tame airlines VIP lounge. We boarded the plane and took a short 45 minute flight to Guayaquil where we dropped off and picked up some passengers before continuing on to Baltra Island in the Galapagos. After going through security in the Galapagos we boarded a bus that took us to a ferry that took us to Santa Cruz Island where we boarded a bus to Puerto Ayora.
