So, we woke up this am and it was pouring with rain! :( But another buffet breakie turned things around after i woops put too much mixture in the waffle maker and spread batter everywere and i mean everywhere! the poor cleaners! A lil girl was waiting next to me and her dad said to her now you live and learn from that lady's mistakes! haha i was like thaaanks! Arriving back to the UK yest am, our 4am getuyp this am was slightly rough but it so didnt matter cos its easter and we're off to Malta! We went down to the bus stop to catch the 4.20 bus and got in time to see our bus just drive straight past us even though we had tickets!! Woke up this morning and had to get my a into g. I had but one task assigned to me, ensure Rach’s secret cake present from her dear mum arrives safely to my hostel. I had pre-warned the front desk that I was expecting a super important, super special delivery and it was scheduled to arrive at 10am. By the time I had gotten downstairs, the ETCD (expected time of cake delivery) had already elapsed and I was disappointed to find out that the aforementioned cake had not yet arrived. Today was all about the food and taking in some spanish culture and chilling out! My kinda day! Ben had to leave by about 3pm and we were flying out tonight as well so we didnt have the full day but it was a good day! We started the morning in search of somewhere to have brunch! Turns out the spanish dont really do the whole brunch thing but we found a slightly dodgy looking bar slash pokies hangout that sold food! We got our bacon and eggs on stale rolls (which we saw all sitting open in an uncovered basket on the way down to the toilets. Today was literally spent ducking in and out of cafes trying to keep warm! We lasted about 15mins at a time outside! Alot of hot drinks and food was consumed! We visited the red light district which was interesting to say the least but think it would have been more eye opening i think! We spent an hour this arvo on a city bus tour which was interesting but we didnt see many new things which was what we were hoping! We really wanted to see the I Amsterdam sign but didnt :( This was our entire day! Unfortunately there was no sun today and very very windy! We just couldnt get warm!
