Yayyy to be travelling again! 4 weeks in london was 4 weeks too many! :P So today as per normal with my crazy travelling planning we were up at 3am to walk to brent cross and get our bus to the airport for our 6.15am flight! Other than me directing Hayley to the wrong bus stop and almost missing our bus all was good! Good flight and got ito Barcelona at about 10am! This was the first time travelling with Hayley - my kiwi flatmate and so i was crossing my fingers that her map skills and direction sense was better than mine! And she did us proud! Instantly she got us a map and we found our bus into the city and then wandered the streets till we found our hostel with her amazing directioning! ... read more

So I arrived in Edinburgh last night after getting very clear instructions from Vanessa what bus to catch and where to get off to meet her! Naturally it wasnt this simple and I stayed on the bus waiting for my stop to be announced until the lights went off and everyone got off the the final stop! luckily Edinburgh isnt that big and Vanessa had to come and rescue me! racing all over the city in the freezing colod after she had just done a massive gym class and was exhausted! haha she couldnt have expected anything less from me! so we headed back to her flat which is right in the cetre of the city - such a perfect location and she had L&P and a pinky bar waiting for me! aww a piece ... read more

We set the alarm this am to get up for the rugby FINAL!!! And as we all know, not a great game, so intense and stressful but we got there in the end!!! Amazing!! i had Michael and Fedi but making me explain why people played rugby instead of football and how football was a so much better sport! They almost both got a boot up the butt at one point! Fedi was supporting France in his french football shirt while Michael had the all blacks flag drapped across his shoulders yelling and supporting them bless him! :) he was trained well! So a great start to the am! It was so tense that we all decided we needed massages before I left so all 3 of us swapped back and neck massages. training up 2 ... read more

Today was AMAZING!! My pics and description of the day just will not be able to do it justice! We started off the day catching the train to Lucerne (Luzern) and the weather was not good! Really heavy thick grey cloud covering the whole sky but we remained hopeful that it would clear up! The train took only an hour and we stepped out into Lucerne! So beautiful! Old like Berne with fountains everywhere but a huge lake surrounding us! The weather started improving and we wandered round Lucerne for a while, tried the amazing swiss maronni, fed the gianormous swans, walked the famous bridge that was burnt in 1992 so some of the paintings were ruined but its still pretty special, and sat in at the stage - the sun! and ate lunch! We then ... read more

I woke up feeling much more refreshed today! Michael had school early so I slept in and got up when he camehome for an early lunch! haha :) Was great! We had some swiss rosti for lunch - yum yum! And then after informing me how to get a bus ticket, Michael headed back to school and I went in the direction of the bus stop to begin exploring for the day! Unfortunately when i got to the bus stop, to get a ticket you hadto have coins for the machine and I only had notes! So I planned to get a ticket on the bus. When the bus pulled up the front doors wouldnt open so i had to get on at the back and there was people backed up all the way to the ... read more

So! Another 2.40am start to the weekend and missioning it to Gatwick airport! The most nightmarish airport to get to and from but made it with screeeeds of time as I had already checked in online and didnt realise that meant i only needed to be there an hour before! So had something to eat, lost my only warm jacket - found it again about 30mins later, had a sleep and then boarded the plane to Zurich! It was only an hour and a half flight to zurich! Sooo close! Its crazy! But then had to board a train to Berne where my friend Michael lives. it cost 105 swiss francs return! very expensive for an hour train! But that was just a taste of what was to come with the prices in switzerland! All went ... read more

So, after an amazing sleep in our very toasty hostel we headed off for the day with plenty planned! We stopped in and had breakie at Waynes! :) Really yummy coffee and bagels! Then headed down to the wharf to book our tickets for a 12pm boat but when we got there we saw one was leaving like 5 mins after we arrived so hopped on that one! It was a 2.5 hour cruise around the archepelago - the islands of stockholm. It was very cute. Lots of lil islands with ppls summer holidays homes on! Would be an amazing place for a summer house i'm thinking! The only thing was that cos it was so freezing the boat trip was even more cold! But we had our hot drinks and blankets to keep warm!
