our yummy breakfast
So, after an amazing sleep in our very toasty hostel we headed off for the day with plenty planned! We stopped in and had breakie at Waynes! 😊 Really yummy coffee and bagels! Then headed down to the wharf to book our tickets for a 12pm boat but when we got there we saw one was leaving like 5 mins after we arrived so hopped on that one! It was a 2.5 hour cruise around the archepelago - the islands of stockholm. It was very cute. Lots of lil islands with ppls summer holidays homes on! Would be an amazing place for a summer house i'm thinking! The only thing was that cos it was so freezing the boat trip was even more cold! But we had our hot drinks and blankets to keep warm!

When we got off the boat we grabbed some lunch and headed to Skansen - the open air museum. i had no idea what to expect but i dont think this was it! it was like a lil town on a hill exactly the way it used to be years ad years ago. lil glassmakers, pottery shops, the post office bakery, school...all as it was!

amusment park on the water
Ppl were still working in all of them and even a lil barn etc outside where they showed us how to make wheat and then inside this likl cottage there were women baking bread and letting us taste it with fresh butter! The also had a scandinavian animal section where we saw brown bears, elk (kind of like moose) and reindeer and wolves! The reindeer were clearly the coolest! 😊

After embracing the view we headed back down and made our way to a restaurant we had been recommended and booked called Sturehof! Highly recommend it! Pretty flash and have to say we did not look the part at all in our million layers and hoodies but we got inside and it was like a thousand degrees!! So layer by layer came off and we both looked a treat! Lucky they shoved us in a lil corner so no one noticed...im sure on purpose!! But the food was amazing! I just had a chicken salad but it was soooo yummy and sarah had lamb...expensive but worth it! We had high hopes of heading out for a few drinks tonight but once we got back to the hostel we were so tired and it was freeeezing so we flagged and had an hour sauna at our hostel instead! Luxury after a long but very cool day! 😊
