Well, the job isnt all that bad. Ive met some cool people. WAtching alot of world cup and managed to get the stanley cup finals. Still ahvent seen game 7 even thought its been played and im trying really hard not to peek on the internet. The uncles are great and I'm still being spoiled like no-ones business. buuut, Im restless. I dont feel like im travelling anymore. I'm just sitting here in sydney, crap weather, working full time with a 9-5 job with bollocks pay. I need to move on. I applied last night for some jobs in the whit sundays and fingers crossed that I hear a return on that. Otherwise, I'm going to keep the job hunt going for a place that will be nice to work. A whirlwind 48 hours in Sydney started off with arrival into Sydney at 6:30am and an immigration/customs line like I've NEVER seen before! Took roughly an hour and 1/2 to get through this (and to declare my snacks, fortunately none of which needed to be taken)! Robyn met me and off went to her house just outside of Sydney for a quick freshening up shower and back into Sydney to start my day! Starting at her office right in the heart of the city, I strolled up Market St. (towards Sydney Tower and Hyde Park), and landed right in the Queen Victoria Building for a chai and a muffin. The chai so cleverly had a "sippy cup" lid which I thought was hilarious (probably b/c I was over tired from the 17 and 1/2 hr flight ... read more

Alright, so I know ive been neglectant of this online journal (I still refuse to call it a blog) but honestly not alot of interesting stories have come to in the past two weeks. Plus Ive been so busy with cult activites and my new passion for knitting while listening to books on tape that there has been no time for online activity. I started my temporary career at Rebel sport Mid City two weeks ago and life has returned back to normal. 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. All of this throughout miserable rainy weather and a cough that just won't go away. Remind me why I'm here again? Ohhh yea, Im legal to drink! Joking Joking, Australia still hasnt lost its charm. ALthough, Im remembering the week before I left when I ... read more

Went clubbing a few nigvht but have basically been hanging out with FLicko, Emily and Lucy. I got a job at rebel sport, start monday. Rebel sport is similar to sport chek back home and I'm selling soccerballs, rugby balls, jerseys and skis. I went down to Bondi to watch the years biggesgt Rugby match and learned how the game is played as I never even knew back home. I'm supposed to learn about the different leagues and teams in order to sell shit. See how that goes :s. I think I'll stick to selling skis. Friday night is a big night on the town, I'm going clubbing with ... read more

I've been told not to take my laptop with me by a number of people and the debate is still on the night before my departure for the coast. SO, I may or may not be updating my blog, also depending on internet cafes along the way. I have a problem with paying for internet now that I am tapping into the guy's next door. Point is, I leave tomorrow morning 6:45 sharp! Yahoo! A trip full of kayaking, surfing, biking, snorkelling, meeting friends (haha), eating, drinking, boozing, sleeping, rooting, hiking.... the list goes on. I'll take lots of pictues I promise; oh, and larry, I'm going to do a full Hungry Jacks section along with any good food I eat along the way. Just for you. Feel special. I'll be gone 3 weeks or so... ... read more

The past two days have been excellent. Damn nice weather and lots of learning. Started yesterday with nothing to do so I decided to head down to Coogie beach. I went before with mark and had a delicious strawberry banana smoothie. The picture of just my feet in crystal clear water that everyone is jealous of is from coogie. Anyways, I met some guys who were australian but of Italian decent. The guidos are the same everywhere.. did I just say that?! Nah, they were alright, they buried their buddy super deep in the sand and I got a picture for him. I said id email it to him and he was all excited. Can you guess what hie email is? Ill give you three guesses. 1. Italia1001Grease@hotmail.com - nope 2. SUperGuido@hotmail.com - wrong. 3. Hot-Italian@hotmail.com ... read more

Yesterday I had a nice relax day after actually sleeping well. Mark and I went out to see a whole bunch of beaches, and there was good weather. I didnt bring my "trunks" which I definitely regretted, the water was B E A utiful. He then took me to the olympic village where I saw the cool stadiums and some crazy trapezers. (Im pretty sure thats not what theyre called, but they officially have a new name in my books). We came home where I had a nice nap. (I sleep alot, I gues the jet lag is still with me a little). Afterwards we went for drinks and seafood; Dad would be proud, I had oysters and anchovies. After getting a little tipsy off the beer we headed home and called her a night. Today ... read more

Ive spent the past few days with vera and ron, they are amazing hosts. They took me to all sorts of sights where I was able to get more beautiful views of the sydney area. They also took me to a provincial park where the sun came out over a beautiful setting of Lion Island and Palm Beach. Unfotrunately, all I really wanted to do was sleep; I was running on two crappy hours of on and off sleep. Apparantly Im allergic to something in the air near their house. I couldn't breath all night as my lungs had tightened up and all I could make was a wheezing sound all night. I felt terrible that as they showed me all this scenery, all I wanted to do was sleep or at best, breathe. By the ... read more
