Hi All! Its been a few days since th last entry and i have loads more to share with you. on Friday Fiona and i decided to feed our thrill seeking nature, and throw ourselves out of a plane! Yes we skydived over the beach from 14000 feet! This is something i have always wanted to do and i have to say, will be very hard to top! The theme of this trip seems to have become a "30 things to do before you die" check list and this has to be one of the scariest yet. Being Fiona's 4th dive she seemed relatively calm throughout the preparation process and plane journey, i on the other hand started to wonder quite early on what on earth i had let myself in for! The photos you see ... read more

So i am now getting settled in Sydney where i will be till the 28th Nov before flying to San Francisco. I have loaded some more pictures here of the diving course in cairns including some of the final dinner that was held on the last day of of the trip. They include pictures of my friends Jen, Anna and Freddie along with some more underwater shots. I spent my last morning in Byron at circus school learning the static trapeze! i wanted to attend the flying trapeze class but they only ran on the Saturday and i wanted to head off down the coast that (Friday) afternoon so i had a private lesson on the static instead. It was great fun but reminded me how out of condition i was and MAN did it hurt! ... read more

It's ok i didn't get lost in the bush, but it would be quite easy to because it all looks the same! We went camping out in the bush at the weekend which was brilliant! I can't tell you the exact location because i don't know it, simple as that! It was about 150km out of Sydney tho. We headed through Hunters Valley which is the wine district, that was a beautiful place to see. We had to stop on route to buy some Dr Jurd's Jungle Juice, tasted great but it was pretty leathal but we restricted ourselves to one small glass a night. The first night we had some tea and then tried to watch The Castle dvd but the rain came on pretty heavy so we had to give up on that. We ... read more

Today’s weather was perfect and we decided to take a ferry over to Manly Beach. We walked along the beach to Shelly Beach but decided to camp out at Manly Beach proper. The chilling dip in the Pacific Ocean was refreshing and the water was beautiful. The sights at the beach weren’t so shabby either… We had the luxury of watching a local rugby team parade down the walk along the beach! Manly is a small resort area located along the North Head of Sydney Harbor. It was a short 20 minute ferry ride from Circular Quay. Many locals commute daily from Manly to down town Sydney via the ferries. Not a bad gig! We took the ferry back to Circular Quay and rested up and cleaned up at the hotel prior to heading over to ... read more

7 minutes is all I have left on the timer! So we will have to write more another time. We stayed with Holly & Matt in Balgowlah and it was absolutely wonderful to spend some time with them again and to get to know their two completely adorable children, Freya and Hunter. They were the most laid-back and generous hosts and even let us drive their beast of a ute (we are hooked)! They live 5 minutes from Manly where Rich lived 12 years ago. Manly is amazing, huge sandy beach with tons of surfers - could spend hours watching them. Sydney is awesome, very stunning to see the Opera House up close and the bridge - and the bats in the botanical gardens! We went up the blue mountains, gobsmacking views. We drank ourselves silly ... read more

I'm off again on the second leg of my adventure around the world! I arrived in Sydney at 6:30 a.m. after a 14-hr flight from the U.S. It's October 3rd, and Springtime has just begun in Australia. My first stop - Manly Harbour, a 15-minute ferry ride from Sydney Harbour, and the home of my college friend, Shannon (Riley) Vetto.... read more

I'm in love. With a place ever so butch, namely Manly. Its a 30 minute ferry ride out of Circular Quay (Sydney Harbour) and absolutely gorgeous. Its on the north shore and has beautiful beaches and scenery oh and the surfers are pretty cute too. I think I would like to live here. The weather has been sunny and lovely, getting warmer at nights too so I though it was high time to hit the beaches. The ferry ride was a fantastic way to see the Opera house and the bridge and its a brilliant way to get around. Once at Manly I chilled out on the beach and soaked in the atmosphere and view - namely the surfers! There is a great walk up to North Point trekking through Sydney Harbour National Park. I didnt ... read more
