well its been quite a week...filled with baseball and hurricanes and the beach....good stuff. So the baseball game last friday was probably one of my best nights here in mazatlan. i had sent out an email to everyone saying that some of us were planning on going and to meet at Joe´s at 5 if they were interested....and about 25 people showed up and everyone was wearing red and it was awesome. we all got a little drunk at joes and then headed down to the baseball game. girls wearing red got in for free if they were with a guy....which was a strange rul if you ask me and there was more girls than guys so we were all fighting over dates and i ended up sharing matt with emmy and we split 2 tickets ... read more

well copper canyon was basically the most beautiful thing i´ve ever seen. But, unfortunately my camera sucked and somehow randomly deleted half of my pictures, most of them being of the waterfalls and canyons and really nice. so that sucked. but everyone else took so many that once i get my ass in gear and get them from everyone i will have more than enough. i will post them up sometime next week probably and leave a link on here so you guys can check them out. Anyways, so we left last WEdnesday night from MAzatlan on a bus to Los Mochis at 10pm. But before that, i went and picked up Cam and we went to Laura and Maui (the finnish girls) house to get them. We decided that in order to sleep on the ... read more

so far this has been a random week. our thanksgibving dinner was awesome....except for the fact the we put too much milk in the potatoes and we accidentally made the gravy with corn flour which made it really thick...so literally the potatoes were runnier than the gravy....still tasted good thouhg. and lance and laura looked EVERYWHERE for turkey but no hay so they had to to get chicken which was super good and laura even mnade homemade stuffing and they stuffed it themselves. it was amazing. and we had salad and veggies and everything....minus grandmas homemade buns which was sad. and me and jason took the best 2 cakes from pananma so everyone loved us...and then nick almost ate an entire one. afterwards i took some cake to heather and carlos and we did some spanish ... read more

Well i can't really remember what ive been up to all week but i will try my best. tuesday night me and heather taught another english class. it was the funnest one yet. we have realized that they realisitically they aren't gonna learn much due to the fact that are about 10 years old and me and heather have no idea what were doing...so basically we decided to be retards and make it really funny. we were dancing and teaching them the "head and shoulders knees and toes" song and doing random things like that. it was really fun. and heather drew a really really ugly picture on the board of a girl so we could teach them body parts and she put curly hair on it and the supervisor lady was like sarah thats you...i ... read more

well its been a while since i´ve added a blog so i´m just gonna do the usual and give a rundown of the last week. first of all, my laptop is a piece of shit and the cord is broken therefore it won{t even turn on anymore. i don´t know what to do about cause i it will be hard to explain in spanish and i don´t know where to go.....i called best buy about it and they were retarded. i´m gonna have to call on cárlos´spanish skills for that one i think. oh and i got a new cell phone. it was 30 bucks but its a lot nicer than my 20 dollar one from the biginning and it shouldn´t die...hopefully. i´ve spent about 150 bucks on phones themselves and calling and texting people since ... read more

Well i'm back in mazatlan. a hurricane actually hit here on the weekend but thankfully we were all gone to guadalajara so we didn't even feel it. lots of signs are wrecked and palm trees are broken. apparently in the golden zone the water was up to your waste. thankfully old mazatlan doesn't flood so my house is fine........too bad for the rich folk in the golden zone. i was impressed though because i was the only student who got an email from my home university seeing if i was ok. way to go UofC.....represent. anyways, so abou the trip....it was muy divertido (very fun). although it started off really bad. we all went out on wednesday night and things got out of hand and we got a little drunk which caused heather to pass out ... read more

Hola de todos! Tess and I just had a relaxing week at the beach in San Carlos. It was just what we were looking for--a small, quiet beach town. We got to do a lot of stretching, swiming, soaking up sun. Every day was beautiful, while down south, in Mazatlan and Chihuahua, they were getting pounded by rain and flooded. Not a hint of that. But tonight we take the sleepless ride down to Mazatlan, dodging hurricains, because there are suppossed to be quite a few more coming! We saw on the news the footage of flooding in some of the towns--man it's awful. While all that was happening, we were chillin on the beach. Renting a place for a week was a super success. Our place was so nice, and we had two rooms, with ... read more
