The month has gone so fast. We got a bit of a scare when Arthur formed pretty much right in front of Caribee. Friends in Florida kept us up to date with the situation. In general Caribee is doing well through the Florida summer heat and humidity. We have had someone go inside and check things out, and all is good so far so that's great to hear. It seems our extra efforts are paying off. We are very lucky to have friends to look over Caribee for us while we are away. Thank you! Here in Montreal we have had some progress on Mako. We think we have stopped all the leaks now and we are very happy about that. We got rid of our old microwave that was scaring us a little... microwaves scare ... read more

Je vous écris en direct du festival international de jazz de Montréal : On bénéficie du wifi gratos, je suis posé à une petite table tranquille avec ma tablette électronique, et devant moi se produit le "Vincent Gagnon Quintet"! Et le saxo alto est un Alain haha La température a enfin baissé (explications à suivre) Il est 20h en cette belle place des Arts. Diana Krall est passée sur la grande scène deux jours plus tôt. Il y avait un monde fou, plus encore qu avec M. Quelques morceaux étaient pas mal, mais je trouve sa musique un peu fade dans l ensemble, je sais pas il manque quelque chose... Ça n engage que moi. On our final morning in Niagara, I looked out our window and was surprised to notice that somebody had turned off the water! Okay, so maybe I just couldn’t see the water. The fog/mist was so heavy that we couldn’t even see the street below. The Horseshoe Falls did gradually reappear as the morning emerged. Today we planned to finish our road trip through Canada to reach Montreal. We had been warned that there was roadwork approaching Toronto that forced traffic down to just two lanes. Despite this warning, when my GPS offered us three routes to Montreal, we decided against the one that went back into the states, did a double international border crossing, and took two extra hours. Hello! Jai eu la reponse positive avant hier pour l appart meublé! Je suis assez content on etait plusieurs dessus, mais j ai été le plus motivé pour le prendre. Je suis rue Berri, en face du metro Laurier, et à côté de la rue Saint Denis, qui bouge bien : il y a de nombreux bars, restos de toutes horizons. Mon appart n est pas très grand mais c est bien pour un debut, je vous laisse voir les photos! En bon pieux que je suis, mon appartement donne sur une église, et Pa' c est exposé sud ouest ;) Donc c est plutôt lumineux, un plus pour les longues journées d hiver qui m attendent...
