Hey guys, I'm getting a little behind with the whole travel blog thing, but here's some recent news. We toured Khala Porcellain the other day, and it was pretty impressive for all of the engineers in the group. It's the largest porcellain producer in Germany, and has been around for a while. It was re-privatized when the wall fell, and most of the production processes were automated. Since I'm going to be doing research for Siemens in the automation department next summer, I thought it would be a good preview. After the factory tour, we visited the Leuchtenburg castle. It was first built in the 1300s. Then, like so many other things here, it burned down a few hundred years later and was rebuilt for use as a base for hunting expeditions in the 1700s.
