My partner is very interested in WWII and is planning on concentrating on Nazi Germany for his Masters Degree hence the reason we wish to visit Wewelsburg. We are finding it very difficult to get there from Berlin, does anyone know any tour companies that do day trips from Berlin? We have looked into getting a train from Berlin to Paderborn but it is also very hard to find one! Have looked on raileurope but not many trains go from Berlin so does any one know any information about a bus?

Any info would be wonderful, thank you!!! Reply to this

That's not in a day trip distance.

Hi Jordyn,

Sorry that I cannot help with the tours, but for train trips in Germany try not to use the Rail Europe website as they only show limited trips. If you try the Deutsche Bahn website, it will show you all trips available. Just as an idea, I found about a dozen trips per day from Berlin to Paderborn, but it takes about four hours to complete the journey one-way.

The reason why you have had trouble finding trains is that most trips take you from Berlin to Hannover, where you need to switch to an S-bahn (suburban rail line) to make it the rest of the way to Paderborn.
