Reply to this Good day all,
My name is Michael. Good day,
I am a forty-something Canadian looking to plan a "walkabout" around parts of the world that I have not identified as yet. I simply want to pack up and do that solo multi-month journey I have been putting off forever......but have not a clue where to start.
I look forward to any and all insights that those of you with experience can provide
Reply to this Hi Michael!!! have u ever bin to India!! If not then i thnk it can be a good starter.
Reply to this I have not been to India yet Shij, but may be going there with a fellow coach to run some soccer camps this spring. I have heard many great things about the country and look forward to exploring it. What are the destinations I should not miss?
Reply to this I'm 21 year old female from Canada that's pretty new to traveling solo.
In December I'm going on a Holiday with some family to the Bahamas, and in January I'm going to Mexico to do some volunteer work for 3 months. I'm really excited for both!
I stumbled upon this site as an alternative way to try and keep in touch to friends and family without having to send out 6 different e-mails while huddled in a little room paying $5USD for an hour of internet... I think the blog is the way to go.
The site I also found is also crazy informative, which is great for me.
😊

Reply to this Hi,
This is Pooja and I am working for a company which provides travel insurance. We have a German website for the same. We are not able to generate desired sales from it. The sales are there but very few. Kindly help. Can German residents come forward and really help us on - How do they like their Travel Insurance to be?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Pooja

I'm Elaine and very new to this. I live in New Zealand but was born in Northern Ireland. I'm married to a South African, and we have two sons born in New Zealand, so we have lots of nationalities represented!
I'm enjoying browsing through the forums.
I teach travel and tourism and have travelled a lot both growing up and while being a travel agent in the late 80's early 90's. I love travel!
Reply to this I have been in Kyrgyzstan for the last 9 days. Welcome to TravelBlog to all those who posted on this thread while I was away. 😊
Vegar, I snipped your link. You can put it in your profile.

Reply to this Hi
I'm Andrea and am 30 and once again I'm a newbie to this site and am hoping to get lots of ideas and help in planning my round the world trip next year.
So far my year is mapping out as:
Jan - March in Quebec, Canada training to be a ski instructor (more like an excuse to spend 11 weeks in the snow!!)
On my way back home I'm planning on spending 4 days in New York with my parents
May - July is S. America and traveling with my best mate from uni. We are planning on starting in Rio and making our way round to end with a two week trip to the Galapagos - the current thinking is that we will organise this independently unless people really think a cruise is necessary.
August is New Zealand for 3 weeks on my own so I'll be hoping to hook up with a few people in hostels
End of August is a couple of days in Sydney
September is a flight to Singapore with an overland journey up to Bangkok
End of September is a couple of days in Hong Kong
Its then a trip to South Africa for a 6 week jaunt in Jeffreys Bay to do some volunteer work at a local surf school and community project.
Any ideas or suggestions for the trip will be welcomed including any must sees whilst I'm out and about.
Andrea
