For tips for the trip you could post threads in the forums for the countries you want to know about. But must sees are different for different types of people. I like things like history, social issues, romantic scenery.... while others like extreme sports or art etc. There is just no way to tell another person what they must see without knowing them.

Reply to this Welcome to TravelBlog Pinkie 😊
I think the
New to Independent Travel Forum may be useful for you.
Also I suggest you get a copy of the Lonely Planet guide to Mauritus. It is available in most bookshops around the world for around 35 Euros. It has information about everything from hotels to safety.

Reply to this I haven't joined in the last 24 hours so I am slightly cheating but this is the first time I've done anything but gawp at world facts.
I went to Cambodia this summer. Now I am back home in London working three jobs and wondering how oh how I can incorporate future travels in SE Asia with my non-exist wealth and desperate desire to be a journalist. Whilst I figure this out I shall be perving on other people's worldly experiences.
Nice to meet you.

Reply to this Signing on and saying"hola" from sunny Playa del Carmen, Mexico!! I moved here from upstate NY four years ago with my husband and three children. My friend Laurie, a Canadian expat in Belize, turned me on to this site. Looks like a lot of good information to wander through. I hope I will be able to contribute to any discussions about our little corner of the world, the Riviera Maya.

Reply to this Hello,
I am a frequent traveller on business and pleasure and I also work within a travel organisation. I am very interested in the way people persue their travles and what type of destinations they like. What make one choose a certain destination over another?
you could say i'm interested in travel psychology.
Is there a company travel forum? ie: Business travel.
Thanks and have a great week everyone
