Hey guys!! You are my true inspirations!
I am Hungarian citizen, lived 1 year in London, 3 months in Switzerland (almost randomly!), did some serious traveling in Italy, Germany, Austria, some in Croatia, Slovakia, have been living in San Francisco for 6 years now and leaving in December to travel for a 1year in Asia (Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, India, Laos, maybe Iran/Yemen, maybe Morrocco, maybe South Africa or whatever comes) and will arrive back to Budapest where I am planning to stay longer. Eventually move someplace in Europe, maybe South Spain. My life is all about photography and eastern philosophy.
Thank you!
Hope to see you on the road!!!

I dont really keep up with anything Adrie. I just hit the refresh button now and again when I am reading the news(or something else) on the internet or in between other things I am doing and post something on one(or a few) of the threads. 😊

Hi everyone! My name is Larisa and I just joined TravelBlog : I'm 18 and will be traveling around the world with a friend of mine either in January or February. We plan on visiting about 6 countries in a period of 12-13 months. We have a very long list of countries we would LOVE to visit, but haven't narrowed it down yet (I think this is the most difficult decision!) lol.. Anyways I'm new at all of this so I'm not really sure if I know what to expect, but I'm sooo excited! If anyone has any advice for me, ANY at all, it would be greatly appriciated 😊 Or even a few stories to share would be nice! Thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing from you!

Greetings to all,

I'm another newbie to this forum. I joined because I'm starting to plan a trip to Morocco next year. It's been a few years since I've traveled and to be frank I'm getting a little overwhelmed by the mass amount of information out there. Makes sense to me to talk to others that have planned trips to the same place.

First question I have is about the forum. I've read the terms and guidelines for the forum and would like some clarification on posting url's and/or contact numbers. I noticed in some places their deleted and in others their not. If I'm looking for recommendations for agents, tour guides, airlines etc. is it better to get people to email me or is there a particular forum it's allowed in.

Cheers,

Welcome to TravelBlog Zap 😊

The trouble with a question such as the one you want to ask is that it will attract a lot of spammers and touts. Many of them are not well known and may not be reputable. We snip and delete spam because there is a lot of it and it becomes a nuisance to genuine travellers who are here to talk and ask about travel.

To find reputable agents be careful about who you accept advise from. Genuine travellers often have a number of promotion free blogs that detail their personal travel experience. These would be the people who can give you good advise. Some new members are also well travelled and dont yet have blogs but many are also touts and spammers. When we suspect that a post is spam we delete it and sometimes delete the account of the person who posted it. We usually give genuine travellers the benefit of the doubt and allow their recommendations. Some that have not yet been deleted or snipped are ones we have not yet checked and may be spammers.

Another way to find reputable agents is to use the ones recommended in books like the Lonely Planet guide.

We snip all email addresses and phone numbers from forum posts. This is to prevent spammers from gathering and using them. You can exchange these via the private messaging system.

After 25 years, the man and I are off to Europe next month, primarily to visit a daughter on a gap year Austrian exchange, but also to see the countries locked up behind the Iron Curtain on our previous visit. Have become addicted to reading the wonderful accounts of travellers posted on Travelblog and, if my meagre computer skills allow, I will attempt to keep the kids informed of the oldies' exploits in this way once we are OS.
