Well I ended up staying in Bariloche for a few days because it was so nice there, and me and Mike saw a bit more of Romy too which was cool. She was so helpful, she showed us all the good places to get stuff we needed, took us out to cool bars for drinks and to watch football, and the day I left she came around to hostel and took me and Mike back to here sisters place for "Mate"(a form of tea they drink here, I will elaborate later) and heaps of "factures"(the most delicous bakery product ever) and then dropped me off just out of town so I got a good start for hitch-hiking. I've jst had a fabulous week down in Ushuaia. Had the best crew staying at the hostel I was at and we had an absolute blast every day. Mostly we just ate great food, there were a couple of girls there from Barcelona, Dany and Silvia who were amazing cooks staying with us, so every night they cooked us up some amazing dish that we'd never heard of before, then we'd stay up to all hours drinking red wine, dancing salsa and trying to teach me spanish, it was awesome. The other two main guys from our group were Micheal and Shawn from America, top blokes, and both of them pretty much spoke fluent spanish so with all they're powers combined I learn't a lot of new stuff. I'm staying in El Calafate at the moment, just lazing about and enjoying the nice weather. I'm staying in the best hostel I've stayed at so far. It's called America Del Sur, and it's run by a bunch of mid-20Yr old ex-pat Buenos Aires people who are so crazy and fun. And they're always chillin in the lounge with all the travellers with some sort of reggae music playing, and they've got under floor heating everywhere you go so the whole place has got just the best atmosphere.    Today I went to the Perito Moreno Glacier which was absolutely amazing! it's massive! Ok, random trivia. The Galapagos Islands are officially named the Archipelago de Colon; they are part of Ecuador and sit 960km off the Ecuadorian coast. They are also about 90% national park. The only way to walk on the islands is with a Park Naturalist/guide. These islands were the inspiration for Darwin’s Origin of Species. The islands are famed for their vast array of wildlife, much of it endemic. (Pick word I learned). The islands are most famous for the Giant Tortoises that are found there, but I think the birds provided a more spectacular show. But I get ahead of myself. Hola Amigos. How are you all doing? As I have mentioned I am working at a private school now. I work as a teachers aid in the English classrooms. I teach all ages from pre-kinder to 12th grade. Its actually a lot of fun. The smaller kids swarm me whenever I walk anywhere. I am hoping this will wear off soon, but its kind of fun. I had one kid in grade 4 asked me if I liked Beaver- when I replied yes, he got all excited and high fived all of his friends. Obviously he knew the second meaning! In another class I had to teach "iny meanie, miney moe, catch a tiger by the toe..." I have no idea why but the kids were thrilled. The teacher only knew the rhyme in Spanish. Its ... read more
