Arrive from Perth to Darwin now on my own after Ciara had left for home, its about 30 degrees here but the humidity makes it very tough to walk round. Darwin has had a rough history, it's got flattened by the Japanese during World War 2, twice as many bombs were dropped here than that on Pearl harbor. It also got flattened by a hurricane in the 70's. Darwin’s alot smaller than Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane, no high rise building but it's nice to walk round. Stay in The Cavanegh hostel and meet up with a friend Oonagh for a few drinks on the night I arrive, just walk round the next day, not too much though and prepare for my trip to Kakadu.
