W piątek skorzystałyśmy ze wspaniałej pogody i odbyłysmy spacer wzdłuż plaż wyznaczony przez szlak miejski. Kolejno zaliczyłyśmy Coogee - Clovelly - Bronte - Gaerloch oraz Bondi. Gdzie mogłyśmy zażyć trochę kąpieli słonecznych, w oceanie lub po prostu poobserwować surferów ;) Krótką i przyjemną trasę zakończyłyśmy pysznym obiadem przy Bondi. Co można zauważyć podczas takiej wycieczki: Masa ludzi w wieku 20-80 lat uprawiająca jogging - warte podziwu, zwłaszcza, że trasa pełna podejść i schodów, słońce w pełni i temperatura ok. 30 st.C. W ogóle wydaje mi się, że Australijczycy są wielkimi fanami sportu w każdej formie - uprawianego czynnie czy oglądanego na stadionach/w tv. Som flere måske ved, har vi booket en stor Toyota Hiace med plads til 5 personer som vi har lejet i de 3 uger som vi er i Australien. Vi får tjekket ud af hostel og snupper en taxa for at være ved udlejningen kl 10 om formiddagen. Vi ankommer, der står netop det køretøj vi har bestilt gjort klar og stod og skinnede i solen og begrejstringen ville ingen ende tage!! Vi går ind på kontoret, fortæller at vi nu kommer og skal hente nøglerne til vores bil. Damen i skranken kigger lidt mærkeligt på os og siger “you’re not on our list”... “Aaaaaaaah, kan det nu også være rigtigt” tænker vi. When I red at school the announcement «6 weeks in the Kangaroos land for an exchange that will change your life» I thought: that's a real pity. Never gonna do this. Never get the permission. Then, one day, my father said: «Why don't you join this awesone experience? Why don't you fuckin' do that?». I didn't even ask to me if I was ready or not. Another nice Emirates flight and we made all the way to East Coast Australia and Bondi Beach where we bought our first Aussie lunch (ouch...so expensive!) Jed and Hailey, who we met in Thailand, met us and we caught up at their house for a little while before heading out to explore. We had a nice walk along the beach filled with buff people in gym clothes and covered in tanning oil! In the evening we carried on socialising with a few drinks in the RSL with some live music. The next morning we were off to the market for Brekkie rolls and then headed to the shops so Jord and I could by a new camera as ours broke as soon as we stepped off the plane! So we left the UK on 17 Dec 2012 on the 13:30 flight, which was delayed by an hour leaving Gatwick, so the switch of flights in Dubai meant we were hurried through security and somehow ourselves and our bags managed to make it to Sydney ontime. Jan and Alek (Hazel's Auntie and Uncle) met us at the airport and we are now planning to stay with them for Christmas and New Year until we leave for New Zealand. They live in Bondi, so we are lucky to be close enough to the city and the beaches. Our first day was an orientation trip around Bondi Beach, Watsons Bay and Rose Bay.
