Photos Tell All North America » United States » Utah » Zion National Park By sabbytravelersApril 13th 2007 When we left Tucson, we decided to head north through Utah and into Denver, then across the heartland of the U.S. Many of you may have traveled this route and may have fond memories of the spectacular Utah parks, Rocky Mountains, rolling hills of Nebraska and flat lands of Iowa. We are here to tell you that all is well in this part of the west: April has brought sweet signs of spring to all after a cold and snowy winter. Folks are actively hiking the parks, enjoying spring skiin... read more

Not that I’m surprised, but this fine city we call Chicago won’t let me leave. I guess it just can’t bring itself to see a guy like me skip town. A small snow storm rolled in over night through this morning and left a couple of inches of slush everywhere. Even though I checked my flight before leaving the hotel, after I arrived at the airport, I found it’s been delayed. As it was explained to us, until planes are allowed to land here at Midway, they’re on Gate Hold at their other airports. My flight to Denver is sitting in Columbus, OH right now, so I won’t be boarding until at least 1:00 PM local time. Other flights are sitting at their respective gates all over the country, too. Sitting in the terminal, I ... read more

Completement fou. Mardi : On est allées: visiter l'esposition "the Bodies".

Hey everybody, Ryan and I are about to begin our world travels and we are both pretty stoked about it! I'll give you a little background as to why we decided to take this trip. After a trip to Fiji last summer, we both decided to make a trip of epic proportions. In Fiji, which was my first ever real international trip outside of North America, I had an awesome time meeting all types of people and learning about the culture there. I found these to be major influences in deciding to travel again. Another major factor was a bit more humbling. The realization that, although the US is a large and very influential country in the world, it's really just a small part of it. The fact that Ryan and I had the opportunity to ... read more

I was in Colorado from 9 - 12 Apr 07 for a business trip. It was a whirlwind trip really. We flew direct from Singapore to Los Angeles, 14+ hours on Singapore Airlines' Airbus 340-500, which was the most comfortable flight I had as the plane comes with spacious seats and leg room (executive economy). After waiting for a couple of hours in LAX for our flight to Denver, we were told that the flight was cancelled. We spent the night at the Westin Airport hotel. We arrived in Denver noon the next day. There was a traffic jam from the Airport to Downtown, and we finally arrived at the Ramada Inn Downtown around half past two. We cancelled the meeting for the day and went Downtown. Because of the one-day delay, you can imagine how ... read more

April 12 - 17 This week I met the “Policia de Mexico.” I now realize it was never a matter of if, only when. Both times (yes twice in one week) I was driving. The first time was in Queretaro. My brother Lance was visiting. We picked him up at the airport and decided to take him on a little tour in the city. After stopping for cake and then tacos we decided to head home. I thought I could find a shortcut by driving into an area where I had never been. I took a couple of turns and then decided that I am driving the wrong way on a one way street. Not really that big of deal because people in Mexico do it all the time and the street is dead with no ... read more

My busiest time of the year is typically around the “National Association of Broadcasters” conference in Las Vegas, NV in the spring. These six or so days (including a weekend) are very long days that go from 7:00 AM to past midnight everyday, so in order to prepare physically and mentally for the marathon, I usually take a day off prior to the show and visit one or two of the amazing places that are within driving distance from Las Vegas. This year, the choice was to go to Mount Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks. So, in order to have adequate time for the visit, it was critical to leave Las Vegas very early in the morning (around 6:00 AM local time). One of my colleagues from China, Sam Yeung, joined me in this ... read more
