Greetings everyone!! It is 5:40 a.m.....I'm getting pretty excited for the trip although it will be until tomorrow when I arrive in Dublin. First stop is the old hub Baltimore Washington International...wish I had some time to get out and visit some old friends in the city. After that I hurry up to Boston, but only to wait about 6 hours to catch my flight to Dublin. The video camera will definitely be out and uploaded shortly. If not, then definitely some pictures. well as many of you know..to conclude this journey....our friend teddy )and roomate) came to pick us up in chicago with his mom.....after a long drive..we arrived home...to find we had been robbed..while he was picking us up at teh airport.. the good news is they didnt trash the place..and we have renters insurance..so hopefully we will be getting a check soon for hopefully most of the value of the stuff...mostly they got my sca jewlery, our tv..mac laptop and wii and all its accessories.... really a shame..but at least we had insurance....also i will be switching over to a new blog...i like this blog thing now and you can follow me there if you like...or not...also easier to blog from that one and add pics and so forth..lots of widgets online that support the blogger ... read more

Geo: 39.7669, -86.1499Indianapolis International Airport4:00-6:00 a.m.Dad drove me down to Indy after waking up at 2:00 a.m.. However, that was after going to bed at 6 pm the previous evening and the waking up at 10 pm. Then, I laid in bed trying to get back to sleep by reading a book and watching Robot Chicken at midnight. Finally fell asleep but was woken up again by a text message from a friend in CA who forgot the 3 hour difference. I said goodby to Dad at the curb and went to stand in line for 30 minutes to check in. I haven't flown on United for over 10 years. What a mess of a company it has become. We went to Kirtland, OH to the Kirtland Temple and toured the Historical Church Site. While there it rained, thundered, and lightening and we were outside with unbrellas it sure made me feel like I needed to run, but I had no where to run. So I stood there and took the storm with everyone else. It was beautiful, and learned what an ashery was, and saw a working lumber mill and old historical buildings. Inside the buildings they had candles lit and with the darkness outside it gave the inside an authentic feel and look. It was a very peaceful and quiet place to visit and learn much about that time period. We traveled all the way to Indianapolis, IN and stayed the Night with a friend of mine that moved here 2 yrs ago. ... read more

just about 1 month to go. got everything ready, all the little bits and bobs that might be necessary......travel fan that weighs nothing, check. new cell phone with apps that translate languages and check current rates of money transfers... check. zune filled with music and rick steves walking tours of cities and museums with 2 way splitter.... check printouts of info and copies of pasports hidden in our packs.... check. only thing left is to drop off the dog, finish up the last few weeks of school put our shirts and socks and pants into the space bags, squeeze out the air and have teddy drive us up to chicago o'hare airport and drop us off. cant wait. i hope all our friends subscribe to this blog and give us feedback on our pics and things ... read more
