It's July, and the 26-days-til-departure countdown is on! We recieved staging information last night, and will be spending the 26th and 27th in Washington, D.C. preparing for departure with our fellow new volunteers, then heading to St. Lucia on the 28th for our first 3 weeks of training. We'll be living with a family there, and attending classes on health and safety, language and culture, and learning the skills we'll need to do our yet-to-be-exactly-determined jobs while we're there :) After the initial 3 weeks we'll be told where we'll be spending the following 26 months, and head there for another 7 weeks of training.
