I’m struggling to keep up. I don’t multitask as well as I used to. You are just going to have to give me a little leeway.....that’s all I ask. Lulu is very impatient and is beginning to annoy me. So I need your understanding support. Thanks. Earlier this year, Sandy & Sam and us bought annual passes to Disneyworld. They accepted us as Florida residents so our tickets were priced accordingly....not cheap but fair. Three visits to any of their parks will pay for our passes. We get free parking and discounts on souvenirs and food. We have blackout days but that’s ok....we wouldn’t go there at those times anyway. We waited to go until after our cruise. The day we went was when our year began. First choice was The Animal Kingdom. Sam spoke the ... read more

Guess I didn’t get right back on this horse like I planned. Our quiet days are limited. It’s tricky to write the blog while we are living the blog. Stay on that broken time machine cause it will continue to take you through our adventures: past & present. Back in the beginning of February, everyone’s friend here at the park, Joe Rossi, took all of us to the horse races down at the Veranda building. This is a very popular, annual event that he arranges and presents. As you can see from the photos, everyone enjoyed themselves .....win or loose. Cory and I didn’t win any or the horse races but we each won a coupon for a free Flipper’s pizza from the silent auction. Yummy. We’ll use them in April when some of family comes ... read more

Because it took me awhile to blog about our cruise, other important events have been occurring as we speak. I need to share them with you in case you couldn’t be with us at the time. You all have such busy schedules, it becoming difficult to get everyone together with such limited notice. So just pretend you are in a broken time machine that doesn’t know where or when to stop. Lulu is shaking her head (best she can). She thinks I should be doing a better job with organizing these blogs. She’s so critical sometimes. Highlight event: on February 13th, Cory had his first cataract surgery. The eye doctor has his office in Celebration (the town that Disney built) which is just a couple blocks down route 192 from our RV Park. Handy Dandy. However, ... read more

Oh, my....what a fabulous “vacation in a vacation” we just experienced. Even though we had no communication with all of you, you were always right there with us. Just silently cruising in the background. So much to show & tell I don’t even know where or how to begin. You are going to have to be relaxed and patient as we sail along on this mega journey that the four (& 1/2: “Little Lulu) of us: Sam, Sandy, Cory and “moi” enjoyed. Hope you do, too. We arrived at the Port of Miami @ 11:00 AM. We left early morning (very happy you all were prompt) and made a couple stops along the way. Traffic was nasty in Miami but our trusty driver, Bucky, managed to get us where we wanted to go safe and sound. ... read more

We told you we would give you notice about the surprise we have in store for you. Sorry that I’m only giving you short notice. Got caught up with busy work. You need to start packing now. Yes, now! Time is running out. Very early this Friday morning (tomorrow), our faithful foursome plus our stand-in Little Lulu are leaving on a cruise. Yippee. Hooray. Hallelujah! We will be sailing on Royal Caribbean’s Jewel of the Seas. We really enjoy Royal Caribbean’s Ships.....so big and beautiful. Our cruise begins January 18th and we return to the dock at Port Miami on January 27th. The party doesn’t stop there. Once back on tara firma, we are going to drive to Key West and stay 2 nights there. We figured we were that close, we would take the opportunity ... read more

You never know what you are going to see at our park. Taking a stroll the other morning, we found a site in our area that had a pile of stuff heaped on their picnic table. Not totally uncommon. The motor home was gone....maybe for repairs or maybe it was their only mode of transportation to go to the Disney/Universal Parks, etc. Whatever. We noted a portable clothes dryer on this picnic table...running! Yep...these folks were drying their clothes while they were away. Not wasting a single second. A woman’s’ work is never done! I suppose we could have hung around and folded their clothes once they were dried....but we had places to go and things to do. Next time! We bought a new E-Z Up Canopy for outside out RV. I try to make it ... read more

SURPRISE!! Yes, we had a couple delightful surprises pop up along our travels. Surprises are nice...as long as they are good surprises. Not like Lulu’s latest surprise she gave us....her smoking practice! We are still dealing with that crisis. She can be so troublesome at times. Last Sunday, Sam & Cory decided they wanted to see the football game inside where it was warm. A cool spell had descended upon us (low 70’s). I hear your remarks Northerners. The four of us walked up to Frogger’s Sports bar at Old Town. TV’s galore. We thought the place would be packed but it wasn’t. We had our choice of table and TV’s. Their Sunday special was a 16” Pizza for $9.98. Sounds good to us. Pizza was tasty....plenty of cheese if you like lots of cheese. We ... read more

Last year, it was my time. This year it’s Cory’s turn. Whatcha mean? Cataract surgery, that’s what the good word is for the day. Hah! Whatever floats your boat. Cory was told by our local optometrist that he had developed cataracts so he decided he would visit Dr. Hanzlik. He is the Opthamolgist, at Celebration Hospital, who did my cataract surgery last year. He’s very good. Thus, we went for a visit with him last week....Cory and I just switched seats in his examining room. He in the exam chair, me in the comfy chair. Cory is going to get more sophisticated lenses than me cause he doesn’t want to wear any glasses at any time. ??You’re so vain?? Me, I use readers for close up use cause my lens are made for intermediate and long ... read more

“Today is the first blank page of a 365 page book. Write a good one!” Okay, I’ll try and hope you do, too! Happy New Year one and all! We broke tradition last night. We did not stay home; go to bed; try to watch the ball drop in Times Square on TV and fall asleep before the ball drops. Instead we actually went to a New Year’s Eve party here at Tropical Palms. Lulu wasn’t going to be left behind! She loves a party and especially, dressing up. Of course, she’s limited as to what she can put on. Obviously, you know the reason why. She found her precious tiara and plopped that on her head and she was ready to party. Gorgeous! Lulu, the Queen. The party hall was set up so sparkly and ... read more

Happy New Year, Everyone. May it be the best year ever for all of you. Everything here on the ranch is getting even better. Each day, more and more of the Tropical Palms Family drive back through the old homestead fence. ??Home, Home on the Range!??. Welcome back, everyone! Carole & George were the first friends we saw upon their return. So nice to see them again. Glad you arrived safe and sound. John & Jeanne followed us in their car as we walked down their roadway towards their cute cottage home. So nice to know you are back with all your friends. Ray has returned with his classy sports car. A real beauty! Nice ride, Ray. Dave and Linda flew back from spending Christmas with their family. Wonderful!
