Now that we have recuperated from the Disneyworld Parks, we are up and going on more adventures. It's getting HOT down here so you can take your winter coat and mittens off now. For the first time since our arrival here, we have finally turned on our air conditioner in the RV. Couldn't take it any longer. Our fans just weren't doing the job. Inside our RV, it felt like the inside of the hot box they put the Colonel in in the movie "Bridge Over the River Kwai." --- remember? The other day, air temperature read on our car 101 degrees....see? We really are talking HOT! Where was this heat wave when we rode the Tarpon Springs boat? Where?.... I ask! We made last minute plans to go to the pool.....forget it! Some kid had ... read more

In between going to the Disneyworld Parks, we have also gone here and there......and yonder. So let's catch up with where and what we have been doing...okay, gang? Get comfy. Tropical Palms hosted another block party. Remember the first block party we went to this year hosted by Glenn & Joyce? With a sad heart, I must share with you that since their party, they were in a horrible motorcycle accident. Glenn was killed and Joyce was injured. Our park was in shock. Glenn has always been a familiar face in this park. He was known as The Music Man because he played his taped tunes at various gathering. He will be deeply missed as our sympathy goes out to Joyce and her family. The staff at TP worked very hard to make this latest block ... read more

I'm so far behind but I'm racing to catch up with myself. Pant, Pant, Pant! Hope you understand and have been patiently waiting for my lengthy musing that I am finally getting compiled. I appreciate your tolerance. Hail, Hail to each of You! Lulu is throwing kisses (best she can with no arms). First, we are going to start with an enormous, orange bus that came into our park. Our friends said it was in here in November. Now it was back. It is called a Rotel Bus. Google it because it is something very interesting. I took most of the photos but borrowed a few (inside ones, etc) from Google so you could get a good idea what it is really like. This Rotel is "docked" in Alaska so it travels around in North America. ... read more

Not too sure what fun and frolic we will find back at home but while here in Florida, we are surely enjoying the festivities and all our friends. Hope you are still here with us to join in the merriment. A week or so ago, a great block party was hosted by Glen & Joyce here at Tropical Palms. They live in one of the Sandcastles and part of their roadway was blocked off for this party. Glen played his DJ music. Folks brought a dish to pass and the crowd gathered for a good time. And that it was! Great food, Great music, Great fun and Great friends. Even Lulu went to the party. Even though she can't dance well (no legs), she knows how to eat and chowed down on all the goodies. Little ... read more

Trying to catch you up on everything that went on in this tropical paradise before and after our cruise. This is a conglomerate blog of all things wonderful. It's a mishmash of several places we went to, friends we have seen and things we have done. I probably don't have them in the right order but that's don't know the difference, do you? HaHa-Snort! You remember my horrific shock and awe over my latest haircut....the one where she cut all my hair off? Pulling on the few strands that were left did nothing. They didn't stretch. Desperate to go out in public, I scrounged around our mobile home and found an old wig I brought. Of course, everyone brings a wig...just in case...right? It was a wig I had tried to sell on EBay: real ... read more

It's getting more and more difficult keeping up with all of you. You are on the go way too much. Last Friday night, we met at the betting windows to place bets on our race horses. We did this last you all remember the exciting Horses Races held at Tropical Palms? Our friend, Joe Rossi and his team, work very hard to provide all of us one of the very best entertainment evenings held here at the park. Thanks, Joe and team. Prior to this wild night, we all got a picture of "our horse" that we colored and named. Mine was Lucky Lulu and Cory's was Hard Six. They both were prancing at the gate. Joe is able to have actual horse races that he shows on the big TV's. Everyone's horse has its ... read more

Just like we planned, we (the four of us and all of you) trekked up to Old Town to see the famous Budweiser Clydesdale horses, again. How lucky can we be? .....twice in less than a week to see these magnificent animals! At home, I get excited seeing a raccoon on our outdoor camera. It was chilly but not bad. Lulu opted to stay in bed and keep warm. She's getting finicky in her old age. Old Town is located on Rt.192. Our RV park is located behind it. Easy enough to walk no pushing or shoving. We'll get there in plenty of time. First, we have to eat so the consensus was pizza at Flippers (pizza place at Old Town). It was delish. Sam & Sandy shared a pizza while I got their simple ... read more

Busy Days, Spending Days, Fun days. We are really having a great time in this neck of the woods (vs.palm trees). We hope you are, also. So far you haven't had to spend a cent on this expedition so the price is really right for you. Martin Luther King is a BIG day at the huge Webster Flea Market. President's Day is another biggy. Sam & Sandy headed out before us to reach this collectors' Mecca. We were the tail masters following behind by about a half hour. We aren't buying anymore so it is just fun to look and talk about those items we would have bought in the past and where we could sell it for a profit. Pssst- We need to stick together cause this place is really enormous....if you wander off, we ... read more

Saturday, here at Tropical Palms, they had an indoor yard sale in the Veranda Room. A good turnout for all. Lulu was irate I wouldn't take her but she thinks she can buy anything and everything she sees. Wrong! We went just look. Right! We came home from the sale with an outdoor canopy, a nice folding table and a small, wooden, artist posable figure. I gave that to Lulu to settle her down. She loved it! Doesn't take a lot to make her happy. Cory lined our lawn chairs in two rows so our yard looked like an auditorium. A few people came by and sat down. Lulu joined them. Has to be a part of the gang, you know. Cory did this because they traded our picnic table out to one that is much ... read more

A rainy day makes for a good catch-up day. It started to rain this afternoon...not hard but just enough where you want to keep a roof over your head. At night time, it makes for such a soothing, wonderful sound. Until, it becomes torrential. Then it sounds like a thousand monster sized woodpeckers pecking as hard as they can. Deafening! Okay, enough. Yes, we are still here and hope you are, too. I'm finding it tricky to "go here and there " and "do this" on the same day....the older I get, the slower I get. But sooner or later, we all get back on track. Come on....the train 🚂 is pulling out. On Tuesday, we all (the fearless foursome) went to coffee in our park's lobby. World crises get solved here. We used to have ... read more
