Heya! Wales this weekend was great - so glad we went. We got a bit lost & ended up on a tikki-tour when we first arrived in Cardiff. The weather had turned really terrible & there was driving rain & gale force winds, but we made it to the hotel safely. The hotel was up a bit of a hill, so we had a nice view of most of the city. The rooms had a lot of antique type furniture & was pretty much like you imagine an old mansion to be, although it was kind of like that scary mansion on that Stephen King movie, the Shining. The next day was sunny & the view was really nice over the city, although there was a lot of early morning mist. The hotel had breakfast included ... read more

I keep planning where I am going to be giong... So what are my travel Plans? January/February Firstly I have enrolled in a Safari Field Guide course at the Edeni Game Reserve in South Africa for January. Not that I have any intention of ever becoming a Safari Field guide. Hopefully it will be a good way to get to know the natural environment out there. I get to do fun stuff like driving a 4x4 off raod, navigation, astronomy, tracking game, learning how to recognise the plants and what to use them for, camping in the bush and safety. I then have 3 weeks before I have to be at the Lion Orphanage near Victoria Falls. I’m not quite sure what to do with this time. Do I go into Swaziland and Mozambique? Do I ... read more

HG and I are hanging around the London Film Festival like bad smells at the moment. So far we've seen Elizabethtown, which we almost missed because Orlando wouldn't stop talking to me on the red carpet. He's lovely, but so clingy man! Then we saw A Cock and Bull Story, with Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon. Well not with them, we ditched them at the door, but they were in the film. What else...umm, oh yeah New York Doll, about Arthur 'Killer' Kane, The Wendell Baker Story, and Linda Linda Linda. 5 down, 5 to go. It's providing a welcome diversion from work, which is doing my head in. Found a top cheapy Chinese place in Chinatown the other night, called the Fook Sing. I like it because for 4 quid I get a heaving plate ... read more

So Friday I wrote this beautiful long description of my trip to Dublin my rendezvous with old friends and of course the beautiful weather. I am telling you it was perhaps the best thing ever written! I swear. Unfortunatly for you I accidently deleted it with one swip of the wrong key. So now all you get is something perhaps less grandious and less shall we say perfect. So last weekend, Margaret (a new friend from San Francisco) and I took a bus to Dublin for a much needed weekend away. I was quite excited because Susie (from Vancouver) was going to be meeting us there and Nic(another Friend from Vancouver) was also going to meet up for lunch. When Margaret and I arrived we noticed almost immediatly how relaxed we both were and how relaxed ... read more

After a pretty late night I headed out early to catch a lift to Nott'm Trent Uni for day 2 of Damme Heere Slamme Fayre ultimate tourney. Our first game was Fling 1 v. Fling 2 to see who would go to the Middle Eight finals or the Bottom Four. Fling 2 beat Fling 1 something like 10-2 which was pretty bad. It was a really good game though. So Fling 2 moved into the Middle Eight and Fling 1 went to the Bottom Four to fight it out for the spoon. Tristan showed up for the second game of the day and was a really big help, especially since Metal Dave was out with an injured shoulder. The whole day was pretty good, kinda mellow. We won a couple and lost a few, but we ... read more

We went to York on Sunday. York is an interesting place with lots of history from different time periods - Roman, Saxon, Viking, Medieval etc. We spent most of the day walking around town, including walking around the wall that goes around the old part of the city. We also went into York Minster (Cathedral). We went down into the basement area, where you can see the remains of earlier buildings on the same site, including a Roman garrison building. - Matt ... read more

1.) Live Play of Clockwork Orange in th east of London (Catwork) How civilized to be able to drink beer while watching a play. I almost orgasmed when at the first of the play the lead characters, three 20 something year old men were in the buff. 'Alex' was played by the brittish twin of my ex, with the sexy ass british accent to match. Met a chick from the play on the train platform after. 2.) My visit to Emerson College. Magical! Anthroposophical college, and Waldorf teacher training. beautiful studios, biodynamic farming, students from all over, only vegetarian food, beautiful gardens, fire places in the dorms, outdoor bread oven....-if I could've imagined the ultimate College, this would be it! Located in Forrest Row, in the country near Sussex. 3.) Galleries Ga-fuckin' lore Guy! I could ... read more

So today was my first indoor ultimate tourney, day 1. It was awesome!! Our team (Fling 2) played really really well. And of course it was loads of fun. We played about 6 games today. Each game was 17 minutes long, which is really short for ultimate but that's how indoors works. I actually really like it because you have more playing time and you play harder because you have a short amount of time to get anything done, much less a great amount of space. We did however have a few accidents and injuries today. Not so splendid but we'll deal. Nimble went for a disc in the endzone and ended up hitting the wall with his knee and then falling severly spraining his ankle, it turns out. However he should be well enough for ... read more
