Sorry it took me so long to update my blog but here I am to inform you all of my adventures in the far north of the UK. I returned to my flat at around 8:30am on Monday after a torturous 13-hour bus ride. For those of you that don’t know, I went to the highlands of Scotland. We stayed in a castle that was donated to the Scottish Youth Hostel Association. The castle was said to have a “haunted” room but we didn’t get to stay in it. Scotland was so beautiful! It was so peaceful and calm. The people there were really kind and laid back. We only visited four small towns, well one was a bit larger than the rest but not too much bigger. We had a four-hour wait in Inverness for ... read more

Lynfielders, It was a warm wednesday evening and one of the greatest football teams in the world (Chelsea) were playing a Carling Cup game against London rivals Charlton. Mr. James Paterson has a membership with this so-called great club and so he managed to get hold of some good tickets and take Paul, Aaron & his brother Tim along with him. It was a great night, although the result was not liked by some (Chelsea lost 5-4 on penalties after being 1-1 at the end of extra-time). Enjoy, Aaron P.S This writer takes no responsibilty for any bias used throughout this entry...... read more

Mum (Bev Reilly), came over to visit (whilst on a work trip), and stayed with us for 2 1/2 weeks. It was great to see her and spend some time with her, we both loved having her, but would love to see Dad here next time too. We were a little spoilt while she was here, feasting on pre dinner drinks and nibblies, having dinner ready for us after work, drinking copious amounts of wine.....not to mention the care package she bought with her for us. Mum and I went on a little mother and daughter road trip for a few days and Justin met up with us in Bath for a weekend. Wednesday 26th October 2005 Mum and I decided to hire a car and go on a mid week adventure. We successfully navigated and ... read more

Well, I’m going to go ahead and post these pictures without much text; they may never get posted if I wait until I have time and am in the mood to write something. I’ll try to add some description in later. ------------- London is an AWESOME town . . . but very expensive. My favorite things in London were getting to see my cousins, Sunday services at Westminster Abbey, and seeing Ewan McGregor act live Guys and Dolls. It was really weird to be in an English speaking country after not being in one for so long. I took the Eurostar which is the high-speed train that goes through the channel tunnel and connects London and Paris in 2 hours and 40 minutes, which is pretty amazing, because if you take the bus and ferry, I ... read more

Matt: Well as our second weekend comes to an end in London, I thought it might be a good chance to give you all an update of our adventures. Ed has passed out from exhaustion next to me, so I should be able to get to write this update without him butting in to tell me all the things that I have forgotten, embellished or just made up! My first week at work has been a little bizarre. After planning what I was going to wear for my security pass photo for weeks, I arrived at on my first day only to be told that the cleaner (who was sick) had gone home with the key to the security room, and I would have to wait until later in the week to have my photo taken. ... read more
