Hey everyone, So, I haven't written in a little while, so here is the info for the past week or so: I have chilled out here in Lancing for the past week and have seen lots of my Granma's old haunts... the mission hall where she met Grandpa, the old farm, Henfield and other small villages in the downs. As well, we went to Leeds castle on Saturday and it was awesome- the castle itself is very cool and the hedge maze is actually quite hard to do- I was the first one to find the middle, but it took at least 20 minutes to do so! Once you reached the middle you went down into the grotto and then out the entrance again- it was all super cool... the best maze I have been in! ... read more

Well, here we are again. Back on travelblog.org. Feels like old times, doesn't it? It has been a while since I have updated - I haven't written here since way back in Thailand, which pretty much feels like a lifetime ago. I have been meaning to add a final entry for my trip, plus make a little mention of a slightly smaller trip that I made with two of my buddies. So now is the time. Now that my travels are over and my family and friends have seen more photos than anyone should have to over the course of several lifetimes, I have had time to pause, reflect and consider my journey. First and foremost I am struck by the sheer volume of places I have been and things I have seen. Upon seeing someone ... read more

Don't want to be spending hours figuring this out whilst in foreign lands! But thank you all for you support over the last year - hope I provide you with an entertaining read! went to bath today which is an hour and a half from London. we all took a train. there really is very little difference between taking the first class coach or taking the regular one with the exception of a bit more room and one including food (and beer!) with your seating. riding trains is very relaxing. once we got there, we walked to the roman baths. it was interesting and i think a lot of people would learn things from visiting it. after spending about a hour there, we tasted the mineral water made from the roman baths. it was okay. i heard people say it was horrible but it wasn't that bad and worth trying. we then went to get some lunch. we went to this expensive vegetarian place my heard about and ... read more

Okay to tell the truth we chickened out! After viewing the Roman Baths and seeing the green water I couldn't help thinking about all the sweaty Romans who used the baths. Maybe next time... We started the day early with a motorcoach trip to Stonehenge. It's amazing to see it out in the middle of nowhere. How did they do it? It was very quiet and peaceful even with hundreds of people viewing it. We lunched in Salisbury after a stop at the Salisbury Cathedral. Another delicious ploughman's lunch. Who would have thought cheese and bread could be so tasty? We think we'll be eating them when we get back home! Our last stop was Bath! What an interesting history. Romans baths uncovered in the 1600s. D couldn't resist reaching down to touch the warm spring ... read more

Geo: 51.0114, -2.11934Got in touch with Val this morning and arranged to visit today to change some clothes and leave some things I won't need for a while. On the way to Victoria Station I bought my bus ticket for later that afternoon. Caught the train out to Redhill and walked to Val's. Was very surprised at the amount of stuff that I had left here. Had forgotten about half the clothes I had!! Swapped some clothes over and left stuff. Caught the train back to London and then the tube to my hostel to use the Internet to book accommodation for that night- yes I was leaving it to the last minute. Managed to get a cheap bed in a dorm. Got my bags and headed to the bus station. Got to the bus with ... read more
