Kun muut joivat oluensa lopp... read more

Life can sometimes be difficult for a traveller, im not talking about going on holidays or taking a year off from college to get trashed in as many bars as possible. Im talking about people who sell everything, leave home and embark on a life journey with just the solely the possesions on your back to see and experience the beauty of the world to the point that it can ultimately change the person deep down at the very core of ones being. Its hard to believe I arrived in Ireland just over a year ago, a country I have always wanted to visit yet what brought me here was more for reasons of finding some stability and security from a wandering life that dissipated my energy in so many directions that I didnt even ... read more

Well it's nearing the dreaded moment when we have to say goodbye to friends and family again, but for the first time, I don't feel sad about where I'm going to. I have really enjoyed my stay here, but am looking forward to getting back to India and the good weather again. However it makes it so much easier knowing that I will be back again in the middle of December, so we won't be away for too long. I will meet Mikes mom in the UK and she will travel back with me on the flight from London to Bangalore, so it's great to have someone to travel with. I have already even arranged travel buddies for the next flight back in January too. My mother and my four Aunts have already booked to return ... read more

Well we are back, and enjoying being with family and friends again, and also loving the freedom of being able to head out on our own without organising anybody or anything. Even though it is great to have a driver, cook and cleaner in India, it also requires a lot of explaining, organising and time management, so it's just been nice to just do whatever we want whenever we want. We went to the beach yesterday and we had so much space to ourselves, running up and down the beach and jumping in the admittedly, cold water, but there is so much joy in just having space. Cael was all dressed up and ready for the cold beach with his waterproof leggings, jacket and boots, but he looked very cute in them. Freedom and scope just ... read more

After an awesome (but very quick) visit to Scotland we've met up with the Dairs and are traveling around Ireland. We are heading towards Waterford today then back to Dublin for tomorrow evening. ... read more

Wowzers, it has been awhile since I've updated ya'll on my adventures! I found my checkcard once I made it to Cologne where I had the time of my life. My host David was highly busy with making artists famous (he owns his own record producing company), but still found time to show me around the town. I had some troubles adjusting to their public transportation, but it all worked out in the end. I met up with some Canadians i met in Berlin and tried some jellied pigs head at one of the 5 breweries we hit up my last night in town (he invited me to stay an extra day). My stay in Koln was rather relaxing as i had David's flat to myself the entire time. I convinced him to purchase a WeFest ... read more

Hi Everyone, So I've been a bit bad with posting, but I have a good excuse, which is that I've been too busy having an awesome time! I think my last post was from Glasgow, so to bring you all up to date, I've since been to Edinburgh, Belfast, and Rathdrum, and now we're in Cork. Everything's been really great so far. There are five of us - Laura, Heather, Nina, Sophie, and myself - and this is the third leg of our Tour de Ireland. We took a bus on Sunday from Belfast to Dublin, then connected with a bus from there to a small town called Rathdrum (don't worry, we're not skipping Dublin, we're just saving it for the end). Rathdrum's your quintessential Irish small town, with one main street, a disproportionate number of ... read more

Hello again, we are just getting ready to leave our hostel in Cork. Chelsea and I have been talking about how much fun it would be to open a Bed and Breakfast someday in Seattle. We really enjoy the B&B experience, and think it would be fun from the other side too. Besides, I like to cook breakfast and Chelsea is a compulsive cleaner! We were thinking of combining the B&B idea with another of our ideas...to retire (in 30-40 years) to a little houseboat on url=http://maps.google.com/maps?ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&q=lake+union,&near=Seattle,+WA,+USA&fb=1&sa=X&oi=local_group&resnum=1&ct=image Lake Union . Then we could have 2 rooms available to guests, and when our kids want to come visit we'll only charge them 1/2 the normal rate, hahaha! Good idea?... read more

Wow, what a trip we have been on the last few days! We managed to hitch rides out of Limerick (we caught a bus to Limerick from Dublin) on the 12th I think. We made it to the town of Dingle, which is super cute. But one of the fellows who drove us part of the way was a tour guide in the Dingle penisula. He told us we should go to the Blasket Islands off the town of Dunquin. So the next day we hitched there because the busses wern't running. We caught a water taxi accross with the intention of spending the night on this deserted island with it all to ourselves. However there were a couple of 'Grand' Irish girls camping there. They invited us over for some drinks and we took them ... read more
