I've had such a great day. We got up early and took 2 buses to get to Aqualand waterpark. It was so much fun, though the water was pretty cold again :( there were 3 areas especially for children with lots of slides and shower sprays and tipping buckets. My favourite one of these was the pirate area. It had a huge tipping pirate bucket which I loved to watch...it was very fun to watch it get people :) I also went on the lazy river with mummy and daddy, in the wave pool on a big rubber ring, and a couple of really big slides with daddy. One was a racing wavy slide where I sat on daddy's lap. We went really fast and I really liked it enjoy the very end where I went ... read more

This morning we caught the bus to Corfu Town. I got to go into a play area for a while where a found 2 leaves that I HAD to carry for the rest of the trip :) I saw lots of boats in the harbour, we walked round the old fort - daddy went to the top but I waited for him at the bottom with mummy. We had a wander around the old town and market, had some yummy crepes, but it was just TOO hot so we then went back to the hotel for lunch. Today we had lunch in the beach restaurant which was so much nicer then the buffet lunch...it was actually really nice. Plus we could eat looking at the sea, it was much calmer today then yesterday so if the ... read more

We spent this morning trying out the baby pool, big pool and the beach - all were freezing! I managed to splash about for a while in the baby one, but when mummy took me in the big one I clung on for dear life and tried to climb up her :) After lunch mummy and daddy walked from the hotel to Benitses. We had a quick walk round this small village and its shops. It's very pretty and much more 'Greek' then where we are staying. The beach was nicer too, but the sea was still freezing! There were also loads of nice looking restaurants that looked like they actually serve fresh food, unlike our hotel buffet :( daddy said we can come back and eat here...I don't know what to choose...calamari, mussels, sword fish...so ... read more

This is the first time I've been excited about a holiday, mummy and daddy have told me that we will do lots of chilling and swimming, but not too much else as mummy is pregnant with my baby brother or sister. They have also said that if I'm good I might get lots of ice-cream :) So today we got up and headed to Stansted to catch our flight to Corfu. I really liked the airport, I spotted the control tower and saw lots of planes land and take-off. Plus I borrowed Harry's trunkie so I got to ride that too. On the plane I was a very good boy, just watched some cartoons, did some colouring and looked out the window. The take off was bit too noisy for my liking though. It was nearly ... read more

Geo: 39.6178, 19.9196Cruising on our way to Corfu we had a full day at sea.At 8am we passed the volcanic island of Stromboli. This is a very active volcano which is continually erupting, albeit small emissions. It was a fascinating sight as we passed by. There is a small village on the island which can only be accessed from the sea and there is limited tourism there. I was happy just to watch it pass by.Yesterday we spent the day in what is supposedly Homer's island of Scherie, home to the Phaecians. Corfu is a beautiful place with an interesting old Town and beautifully looked after. We caught the local bus from the terminal to the Old Town. This consists of the usual narrow winding streets filled with tourist shops and fortunately not too many tourists. Many ... read more

Friday April 26th, 2013. Kerkira (Corfu), Greece We awoke to find that we had already docked in Kerkira. D had been here a number of times before and was a little p****d off that we had docked so far away from Kerkira Old Town. We took the free shuttle to the cruise terminal where we caught a local bus to the old town for 1 euro 50. Amazingly the first thing we saw was the locals playing a game of cricket. This is a hangover from the period of British rule between 1815 and 1865. Thereafter Corfu was incorporated into the recently formed Hellenic or Greek State. Next, we visited the Old Fortress which dominates the east side of the city of Corfu. It is the City's most well known monument and is linked with the ... read more

Corfu is an island in the Ionian Sea being the second largest of the Ionian Islands and very close to Albania - only 3 - 23kms away depending on the breadth of the straits. After disembarking, eight of us bargained for taxis to show us around the island - we learnt long ago to go to the back of the line of taxis as they charged much less and gave you more options and time- the front ones were assured of a fare for the day whereas the back ones weren't. Anyway we got to see some magnificent sights that we may not have seen otherwise. Our drivers were Alex - who is a singer and had the music up loud and sang along with the music and Dimitrious who was a little more laid back ... read more

Hi Everyone I am alive but my new computer is not hence the lack of blogs. I am using someone eslses computer to do this and hopefully mine will be sorted once we get to Norway on the 22nd. There are no apple dealers here. Just a brief outline of our travels to bring you up to date A week ago we let Dubrovnik and headed to Montenegro but un.able to host sails as the sea was dead calm . spent one night anchored off a beach and the swimming was magic. Beautiful suroundings and water. A truly magical spot. First dinner on board which was great with a number of drinks. Next day Sunday 1st July we headed away from Montenegro, destination Corfu. Sailed all day, all night and arrived in Corfu mid afternoon on ... read more

Hello Everyone! Sorry we've been so slack in writing this blog! I don't know why it's taken this long to get organised, seeing as this is my birthday holiday! But oh well, here we go: October 4th we left London - bit of a frustrating journey to Gatwick airport, rather forget that one (but thanks to my complaining skills, I managed to get credited the fare paid for that bus journey) We arrived in Corfu (one of the many Greek Islands) around lunch time, checked into our ALL INCLUSIVE hotel and changed out of our London clothes and into our beachwear! All inclusive hotels are awesome! Buffet meals, snacks, drinks (including alcohol) and entertainment all 'free' (as in included in the cost of the holiday) We cetainly made good use of that in our week there. ... read more

Geo: 39.6178, 19.9196After a week of total indulgence we were all feeling worse for wear when the ship pulled into Corfu. The result of this meant a much curtailed visit which is a shame because I am sure it has lot to offer. We did manage to visit the Museum of Asian Art which has some beautiful objects in it and it is peaceful, cool and far from the madding crowd. We looked at the Old Fort from the entrance and decided that it would be too much effort to climb up, so apart from a regulation beer in the colonnade that was Corfu for us.... read more
