Oeeeee, oe, oe, oeeeee....

This will be a quick blog since we haven´t kept up with this very well and we have a lot to say. So, where did we leave off...oh yeah. We went back to Berlin from Brussels. Did I say that I love that place. The boys came in to meet up with all of us. Nate and Dave came in soon followed by Clint. Soon after their arrival the debauchery began. The agenda soon became clear. Beer, girls and the kind of fun that spawns great stories! Pretty much in that order. We also carried a football around (that´s an American football byGod) everywhere we went. We would go out for passes walking down the streets of Germany. There was also a game of touch football played on the very grounds where the Nazis ordered a ... read more

So we've been having a GREAT time here in Europe! We are back to Berlin after a stay in some other countries. From our first stay in Berlin we headed to Amsterdam and Brussels. Amsterdam was exactly what you would think...or at least what we thought it would be. Lots of peeps in to smoke pot and see some boobs. There are other things to do there but we got that vibe when we entered the door to our hostel and checked in. While we were waiting we noticed a crackhead in the corner getting high. He was alreadz prettz blitzed and lighting it back up. His face was covered in scabs like someone had it with taking his crap and beat the crap out of him about 3 days earlier. He was some college kid ... read more

Phill, Katy, and I went to Schwetzigen a couple weekends ago. It was very cool. It is one of the largest castle gardens in Germany, especially the south. It has very many passageways and areas to cut through. It was very cool. We did a tour of the castle as well, but no pictures allowed inside. It was fun, but a little hard to understand everything he said. It was good to go through though. Good times were had by all! We also found a place to eat lunch in; it was a secret hidden place because we werent sure if we could eat there or not. We had tons of fun.... read more

FRANKFURT Our flight to Germany went well & as we stepped of the plane we both felt very happy to be there. We cruised through customs & made our way to the town centre by train. From there it was only a short bus ride to our hostel. They split Di & I up which was rank but everyone else was in the same boat - no mixed dorms. The hostel was on the river & the fanfest big screens had been erected in the water. One facing each side of the bank & newly erected stands would provide for ample seating. Although still a number of days out from the official start date, the world cup buzz was definitely everywhere & very contagious. We found it very easy to start up a conversation with any ... read more

I finally met up with Heather after my long ride to Munich. I got off the train and walked in the 30 degree heat and snow to finally meet up with Heather in the lobby of the hostel. After her original 3 day plan, I finally met up with her 6 days later. We met some kids in our room and headed to the most famous Biergarden in all of Munich. We all had liter beers and pretzels and stumbled back home via the Metro at like 2. The next day, we got up, checked out, stored our stuff in the luggage room of our FINAL hostel (minus one day in Rotterdam) and headed out for a 4 hour walking tour of the city. We saw the Glockinspiel, the New and Old CIty Halls, the church ... read more

A chapter is closing! From the next 2 weeks I will more or less be doing the 'backpacker' thing and without a forsure bed to sleep in every night Oy. Not exactly looking forward to it. I changed my plans again about going to München. It's sort of a lame story so I don't want to talk about it. Yes, as if talking about getting locked in my room isn't lame... Where am I sleeping tonight? Most likely in the Köln airport. Where will I be sleeping tomorrow night? Most likely in Luxemburg. How am I getting to Lux? Haven't figured that part out yet. But keine Panik. I've got this crazy idea that Lux is a really cool country, if only people knew! Ok, so the main reason I'm going there is because it borders ... read more

Memorial Day weekend we decided to go to southern Germany to visit the Bodensee or Lake Constance, as it is also known. The Bodensee is a large lake, the 3rd largest in Europe, which borders Germany, Switzerland and a tiny portion of Austria. The lake is 40 miles long and 8 ½ miles wide. Bodensee loosely translates to “bottom lake” as it lies at the bottom of Germany. We stayed at a very nice gasthof (hotel) in Neuravensburg, Hotel Landgasthof Mohren, just a few miles north of the Bodensee. What was nice about the hotel was that it had an indoor pool and sauna, although I never did get the sauna to work correctly. The pool was great place to relax after spending the day walking around Lindau. The hotel served a very nice German breakfast, ... read more
