As the Bud Light guy would say..."Dude...not cool." Bummer to hear about the phone situation dude - glad to see that you were able to vent though and not let it keep you down! It sounds like you are having an awesome time, meeting one of 12 male interior designers in the world who is not gay! (I kid, I kid!). I am enjoying living vicariously through your writing so keep 'em comin!
Fun! Your whole trip sounds wonderful, Lynds! I finally got the chance to read through everything and I'm thrilled that you have been able to do so much. the vatican Man, I'm jelious of your trip to the Vatican. I think that it would have been cool to see it the day before Palm Sunday! Also, all of the food that you are eating there! One day, when we are old and rich with nothing to do but travel, we can go back and eat all of these things again! Miss you and can't wait to read your next posting! Love you!

So you met a a guy in Florence, on business with NASA, and you spend the day sightseeing? Dude, that sounds like the opening of a great spy movie, or a brain versus beauty romantic comedy! Just kidding!
The sun will come out..... Simply gorgeous. I went on line and looked at pictures of Cinque Terre. Your jaw must have dropped when you were there. It's absolutely breathtaking. I'm sure it's awesome in person though. Sounds like a pretty fun day strolling around. Try some Tira Misu for me. Love Ya!

Hey Lyndsye!, wow I can't believe you are doing the backpacking! What a trip and adventure you are having. Wish you could figure out how to post pics! lol When you get back you ought to write a book on your travels, you are a great writer! I can see the villages, mountains, clouds, and smell the leather but better than that I could taste the lasage, the mint chocolate gelato, the pizza, and the salami and mozzarella....lol
Keep posting, stay safe!
Love ya,
Uncle Paul

I envy you I totally envy you at the moment, because you don't have to write a paper on why you think Juliet is better than Romeo. I would take the no sleep with smelly people rite now. But all the smelliness and what not is all part of the experience dude! :) Hang in there!
P U Sounds like it's alot like taking a greyhound bus around america. Oh well it's a learning experience and we have heard that it's all about the experience. Contact us soon. We miss you and your voice.......Love Ya
Hurray for the venting...! I think? One bad night out of 14 good ones, I would venture to say that you're very far ahead of the curve there buddy! Besides, you need a funny story about smelly people for when you come home. Miss you, love you.

You have done more in two weeks, than I have done all year! The alone might be culture shock, or a somewhat guarded nature, being a first timer there and all, but you'll be fine. Go hang out with Irish guys, we both saw PS I love You, and you know how that turned out! Joking...I am cleaning today, trying to get over being sick, but it just won't go away, so a trip to the doctor may be in order. Oh yeah, Katie hid some of your under-garments, and she has since dug them out of the "bat cave", and now sleeps with them, I don't have the heart to take them away from her. We miss you, and we are so proud of you!

We had a nice day here as well, but we're awaiting a nice big snow and ice storm, so that should be grand! You better figure out the picture situation, or you won't have room for the last half of your trip! Get some sleep, go to the beach, and have fun! Love ya buddy!
Great exercise! Hey sis- glad you're doing well. Sounds like you're getting to see a lot of cool stuff. I bet you're getting some cool pics. Can't wait to see them. You'll get a lot of good exercise walking around the world. Happy trails and stay safe. Karisa says hi too! Love ya!- Greg
From the time I was a little girl I've dreamed about traveling to Europe. When I got to college, I promised that as a gift to myself, I would do it when I finally graduated. The time had come in 2007, when I was finally finished and was graduating with my Bachelor of Arts in English degree. In February of 2008, I would embark on an incredible journey, across the ocean, to some of the most romantic and beautiful places on Earth. This blog is a record of all that I saw and experienced.
