Well I barely made alive to Florence this morning. Apparently the trains to Italy dont have reclining seats eventhough the girl I bought my ticket from said that was what she gave me. Instead I was locked in an itty bitty cabin with four other smelly people. This trip is supposed to be teaching me tolerance but when someone can smell you from two train cars away, that usually means you need to bathe more frequently than once a year. One guy was so creepy, he kept talking to himself which kept me from sleeping, so then I turned my ipod up louder to drown out the sound and he had the nerve to ask me to turn it down. If I knew Italian well enough I would have told him to stuff it and shut the heck up. So I am really crabby because I have absolutely not slept and I can not get into my room in the hostel until after 1. It may sound that I am being a tad bit negative, but really how is anyone expected to be comfortable under those conditons. I am sorry, I just needed to vent a little. On the bright side, the people at the hostel are extremely nice and friendly, they let me put my bags in the luggage room and I was even able to use the shower. So I got that going for me. I guess I will go explore for a few hours and then come back and take a nap. Note to self: do NOT take night trains in second classe ever again for as long as I live.

Hurray for the venting...! I think? One bad night out of 14 good ones, I would venture to say that you're very far ahead of the curve there buddy! Besides, you need a funny story about smelly people for when you come home. Miss you, love you.
