Hey there everyone. Just arrived in Barcelona this morning. Wow what a journey I have had. Since I talked to you last I spent my last day in Paris stumbling upon things I didnt know existed. I saw the Jardin de Plantes, which is this huge parc et garden with the zoological museum at the back and the zoo or menagerie to the right and some other naturual museums. Of course I didnt have the time to see them all I did enjoy the zoo a little bit. i encountered a bit of travelling trouble for the fact that when I went to the station to get my reservation for the night train to Barcelona I was told by the not so friendly french lady that it was full and nothing was available till wednesday. so I thought for a bit and went to a different person where I purchased a ticket to nice thinking I could switch in nice, well what i didnt realize until after i purchased the reservation for only 1 euro thank goodness that it would mean i would have to spend 21 hours on a train. so to make my long story not as long...i ended up going to a different train station and speaking with a very nice gentleman who actually got me on a train to barcelona right away and i arrived this morning at 8:45. Wow overnight trains suck bad!!! but itś ok. So my journey did not stop there.....i had to walk an hour to the city center because the train station I arrived in was a ghost town this morning. i am guessing because it was a Sunday. Once I got to the center I got on the Ferrocarrils to my hostel about 15 min away. when I got off I was atop a very tall mountain. I then discovered that i would have to climb two very steep hills to get to my hostel and about half way up, because i had not eaten or slept very well and drank a whole bunch of water I had to stop and puke a little. hehe. its all about the experience I tell you what. So now I am in the hostel waiting until two to go to my room and take a shower and nap. On the very brightside, this stay should be very relaxing and the weather is beautiful here. Sunny perfect 70 degrees. I love it. Cant wait to explore and lay on the beach soon. Hope everyone is doing well. I miss everyone. Thanks for all the comments, I am glad to see everyone following along on my journey. I guess I will write more later. Internet is free here so I can update more frequently. Love you all. Ciao!

Didn't we tell you not to talk to strangers!!! See they make you puke! Glad to hear from you and that you are making progress on your journey. Also glad to hear your going to finally take a shower! Remember it's Sunday and don't forget God. Dress appropriatelty, and no boys, drugs or alcohol! Just let your close friends and their behavior be your shining example. Do I need to name names??? Fluids
And remember... they treat their wine differently in Europe (more respectfully I might say) by NOT adding preservatives that result in hangovers when over-consumed. So, enjoy the native viticulture headache free... but don't let it lead you to talk to too many strangers. What could be better than some Tempanillo, empenadas and the works of Goudí? We're so jealous. Thanks for keeping us updated. Can't wait to see pics. - jeffer

Hola!
Hey lynds! It sounds like you're having a blast! I'm sooo very jealous of you! I've always wanted to go to Espana and practice mi espanol! I've heard that the southern part of Spain (in certain places) looks just like Southern Orange County! :) Hope you're hydrating yourself enough now and remembering to eat and maybe pack a snack with ya for next time! I'm soo proud of you for doing this! Hope all is well! Be safe and i miss you as i always do!

Are you sure you are hte same Lynds that I know? You sound different, even in this short time! Well it sounds like you are having yourself an adventure! We had a nice day here as well, but we're awaiting a nice big snow and ice storm, so that should be grand! You better figure out the picture situation, or you won't have room for the last half of your trip! Get some sleep, go to the beach, and have fun! Love ya buddy!
