The Continuing Adventures of Dreamchasers 2014: Slow Down, You Move Too Fast

Yes, the adventures continue for Dreamchasers as we head back to Asia, this time to explore unknown territories in Myanmar / Burma, which Lonely Planet describes as a "time-warped country that's a world apart from the rest of Southeast Asia". From there we will make our way back to Bangkok, then travel overland through Malaysia en route to the tropical rain forests of Sumatra, land of steamy volcanoes, and Borneo's Tanjung Puting Park to meet the orangutans of Dr. Birute Galdikas' - one of the trio of young women, along with Jane Goodall and Diane Fossey, named Leaky's Angels, all trained by the famous naturalist Louis Leaky. We hope to visit as well the Komodo Islands and Komodo National Park, recently declared one of the New Seven Wonders of nature, to see the world's largest lizard, the Komodo Dragon, and maybe swim in some of the world's most tempestuous but astounding marine life waters, before ending our trip with a month of Ashtanga Yoga study and relaxation in Ubud, Bali.

We are hoping with Dreamchasers 2014 Adventures to slow down, because we always seem to move too fast . We are certainly not setting out to clock another 52,000 km, as did Dreamchasers 2013. However, having reread our itinerary, I think that slowing down and hanging out may be a bit of a challenge for us, when we are going to be surrounded by so much to see and do. After all, we are adventurers chasing dreams, are we not? Good thing we have that commitment to study Yoga for a solid month at the end of this journey to ensure that we settle down at least once on this trip. You can just imagine how excited Stan is about this! But the blog entries will reveal how it all unfolds. One thing I know for sure: whether we are taking it slow and easy, or cruising at full speed, I will continue to be inspired in our adventures, wherever we are, to give and collect smiles, because "I have never seen a smiling face that was not beautiful" and it is ultimately the people we meet who give real meaning to our experiences.
