So we finally left Phuket but not after a night of craziness.  You're going to be dissapointed b/c I am sealed from writing anything on this blog about it.  My lawyers here have told me I am bound under the Fear and Loathing Act - What happens in thailand, stays in Thailand.  I won't talk about the other boys but I'll just say I ended up having two girls stalk me and I had to get out of there.  So after Phuket we went to Krabi - we heard rai ley was great so we toke a boat there.  We got there and it wasn't waht we thought it was - and it was damn expensive.  So we toke another boat out of there and headed to this other place, near Krabi.  My camera got damaged from ... read more

We have been surfing every day, and I finally have caught 9 nice waves.  It toke about 2 days to get use to the salt water and endurance but it is so worth it.  I changed my board today to a normal one instead of the big ass ones they get you to start off one.  The big surf boards are crappy b/c it's hard to get out and catch any waves but as soon as I got a smaller board, I was riding these waves actually.  I couldn't believe the rush you get ride this....this rocks waking up, pranking james, then grabbing grub, take a nap, prank griff, then go surfing...life doesn't get any better. So I need to back up the truck abit....2 nights ago, we decided to hit the town.  We bought a ... read more

So I woke up and you guys still haven't checked in.  I thought I take another swag at finding the Phuket hospital.  One thing for sure, you learn alot to have patience over here, you can't exactly multi-task. Zenning mode:  I am the first victim of blogging on the NET and having it dissapear, I think this usually happens when I use dial up, so if this is a repeat entry, ignore it. It toke me 2 hours to find a callign card, and then another hour to find an international phone.  These bad boys do not have one lick of ventilation because I was in the booth for 15 minutes talking to the international operator and was just soaked in sweat.  Felt like a steamed pork dumpling - and I think I started to mumble ... read more

I woke up pretty late 11AM and decided to walk around town.  Met Yeum and hung out with her where she works at the coffee place and had a Frap.  Didn't do awhole lot, after breakfast I headed back to plan out my day.  And guess who I see, Ent and Griff at the front reception.  We didn't have that magic running to each other on the beach type moment but it was close enough being late morning.  We did our high fives and I showed them to the big room I was staying so we can all share it.  Met up with Darren again in the morning, and I told him let's go surf.  We headed to this other side of the beach which some good size waves.  Damn I am living it large.  I got ... read more

Zenning IN:  The last time I had one of these episodes, I was sitting in winnipeg and my dad had a 3 minute talk with me and long story very short, I moved to vancouver and lived on my own for the next 11 years. Zenning OUT:  So I am on my way out of Phuket town and was hounded by taxi's and tuk tuk's for 200 baut.  I fianlly found a bus that toke me to Karon, decided last minute not to go to patong, not my style for 20 baut. This one guy, darren almost missed the bus and he sat with me.  We were the only travellors so we chatted it up for about 3 minutes.  Darren is a fitness instructor and was based in Japan for a year but his home was ... read more

Ent you better had a pretty good haircut to make me blow a day in Phuket town. There is nothing to do here except walk to the town square which is pretty much the size of Brentwood mall. Anyways, I am leaving the Talang Guesthouse tmr and will be heading to Patong tommorrow where the beach and night life is. I have to admit there is no travellors around in site but there are alot of young local kids, this is pretty much as local as you can get. I am going to look for trouble, hopefully I will meet up with an aussie so we can practice Black Hawk Down on the walkie talkie again. I am trying to find a pub or bar to go to, but everything is closed. Baggins out... read more

Good choice Griff, I am in the middle of nowhere.  This pretty much is the old part of Phuket and there is no travellors in site.  I walked around for about 3 hours and saw one foreigner, this is pretty much as boonie ville as you can get.  It's strange walking around because in a way I should blend in with my black hair but the ppl here are 5 shades darker then me.  That and probably wasn't the best idea to walk around with my Lonely planet book.  It was like carrying a big ass yellow page that had an  arrow pointing at me saying tourist over here, pls rip me off. Word of advice:  ALWAYS ask how much things are first before taking it, whether it be service or food.  Because when you don't, ... read more

I am going to miss this city but I have been summon by the Ent and Mr Hockey to Phuket.  I didn't do awhole lot last night, these past 5 days has been full days of activities which can quite stressful on the body.  So I got another thai massage and made sure I didn't pass out in the chair this time.  I didn't get a chance to meet Frank and Melissa so I ended up hanging around the market and doing some last minute shopping before heading out. Nothing too exciting except I couldn't find my guesthouse last night.  I didn't get home till 1AM and they close everything down so everything looks completely different. I had to knock on ppls door to help me and finally this one lady who owned another guest house ... read more

Woke up and had breakfast with the Canadian girls one last time and said our goodbyes.  They wanted me to email them when I get to Kho Panyang but I will fake a seizure that day.  I am finally free from the claws of estrogen but I still have my rash =( On the bus, I met some new travellers - 2 frenchies and 2 aussies.  Frank and Melissa are really cool (aussies), they are on their honey moon and they had some funny stories to tell, like how they saw this snake show but it was really with 4 ppl and the ring announcers kept telling the guy to bite the snake.  I told him about my harrison hot spring aka Ass pond story so we got a good laugh.  The frenchies, sebastian (please say ... read more

First victim of the Mansoon would be the night of the 15th.  I was wondering around the streets with my new found confidence, about 1AM and the stupid mansoon rain hit like a ton of bricks.  Thankfully I had some cover but there was no Tuk Tuk to be found.  Waited for alittle while and a Tuk Tuk stopped with the drivers wife sitting at the back.  I tried to negotiate a price but he kept saying rain rain so which meant he had me by the balls and I would have to fork over some money this time around.  I wanted to hit the bars but the dude had no idea where he was going.  So that was that....yes I still have the stupid rash.  I have not been able to find a cure for ... read more
