In Rosario now, heaps to see…if you can’t get enough of monuments. Everywhere. Not enough memory on camera for them all. Very proud of their past. More in your face than at home I guess. Lots of night life here too, be better as a young couple eager to go out at night. Even after a siesta, we’re keen to hit the sack at midnight, just when things liven up. Dinner at 10, drinks afterwards. Too much for us…until now. Nah, but you could get used to it. We met the brothers after their meeting on Saturday night, about 8. They where just getting ready to start making dinner. We got one the boys email, but reply yet. We’ll go to their meeting on Wednesday and see what happens then. Mainly wanted to put some photos ... read more

Well another week gone by....I can't believe it!!!! Classes are going well. Things are coming together nicely...it's getting to be not so tough to understand. There are still a lot of words that I don't know in my history class...and half the time I dont really know what they mean in English either! Politics and I don't really seem to get along lol. Thursday night we had a Tango Party. It was fun. There was dinner and a short lesson...I think i've decided that tango is fun to watch and do for shows but it's not much of a social dance....I still prefer salsa :-). Which leads into my lovely rest of that evening...after the lesson we had open dancing but they were then playing all tango since it was a "tango party" and no one ... read more

Sitting on the bus to Rosario from Puerto Iguazu and finally writing again. NB: if you need to take the bus on a long haul trip, they’re great, but some are better than others. All show DVD’s and serve dinner, etc. We first took Cuerco del Norte, great. Wine with dinner, and even champers later on. Now we’re on Expreso Singer, not so good, especially if you’re 6’ or taller. Those few inches in leg space make a huge difference, as well as being a less tightly run unit. Anyway, Marianne and Callum are comfortable and that’s the main thing…apparently. So, the Iguazu Falls. What shall I say? Awesome? Outstanding? Unbelievable? Over-whelming? Tremendous? … Shall I go on? I could. The sheer immenseness and thundering crashes cannot easily be put into words. Dag 98. Eirik fikk tatt seg ... read more

Dag 97.

So this weekend was another wonderful time of lack of sleep and lots of fun!!! Saturday I went and did some shopping with a couple of other girls from the states and bought some of the stuff i was wishing i had with me :-) and now i have it! Then I was supposed to meet my friend at an art show in the park, but she ended up getting sick so I went solo which was quite the adventure...safe, no worries, but still adventurous! There was lots of cool stuff...it was kinda multi cultural so they had people from Peru and Paraguay and all sorts of different places...it was very interesting. Let me tell you, if you like jewelry this is the place to be too. EVERYONE sells it lol there is BEAUTIFUL stuff that ... read more

Dag 95. Si, si, sa ... read more

I've survived my first full week of classes :-) yay! I'm taking conversation, grammer, and history. The first 2 aren't bad, but I am finding it difficult to understand my history prof...but i'll get it soon i'm sure! I did my laundry the other day and I hung it out to dry but there is this nasty stuff in the air that just started the night i did my laundry (of course) and so now some of it smells even worse than before i washed it :-( I've been walking home from school everyday which is about 30min. of a non-leisurly (sorry for the bad spelling) pace. It's good excercise which i need with the large amounts of delicously salty foods i've been eating! I'm also glad now that I brought my I-Pod because I can ... read more

So everything is continuing to go just amazingly here!!! I really feel that coming on this trip was the best decision of my life. Everything has just been really amazing and fun and eye opening and just perfect! This weekend my brother took me out with his friends so now I have locals :-) lol Saturday night we went to this very nice club...we got VIP cause one of his friends knows the bouncer :-) The next day we had an asado....aka a bbq at at park! It was quite wonderful in my opinion. The guys played some hard core soccer. We all ate a bunch of good food. And it was just very enjoyable. The weather is getting warmer, which is nice :-) I'm getting much more used to the streets and everything here, which ... read more
