Jälle naudin mäkdoonaldsi hirmaeglase interneti mõnusid koos konditsioneeriga, mis on nii külm, et kohe kodune tunne tuleb. Siin on jälle nii palju juhtunud, et ürita nüüd puslet kokku panna. Käin ikka tööl, esmaspäevast reedeni, üheksast kuueni. Vahepeal on igasuguseid kujusid meie tiimist läbi käinud. Kõigepealt tuli iirimaalt kõigi suur sõber Simon, kes on kaks meetrit pikk ja professionaalne fundraiser. Temast sai kohe tiimijuht ja mina kuuletun nüüd ka talle. Siis tuli suure mikrisoenguga Andrew, kes eriti matsu ei jaganud ja peale nädalat ütles, et ta nüüd läheb. Siis tuli iirlane John, kes oli tõeline koomik, aga tema jagas veel vähem matsu, nii et Phil pidi ta vallandama. Minu suureks rõõmuks on šoti tüdruk Alison suured katsed läbinud ja tema kuhugile kaduma ei lähe. Kaks Sydney tüdrukut Lauren ja Jenny on ka mõneks nädalaks siia tööle tulnud. ... read more

Nüüd on otseloomulikult jälle terve igavik mööda läinud. Õnneks siiski kaks nädalat, mitte kuu. Kui nüüd meenutama hakkan, et mis vahepeal toimunud on, siis ega midagi väga metsikut polegi. Või siiski.. Tööga on kõik kombes, kes otsib, see leiab. Kõik intervjuud läksid hästi ja kõik tahtsid mind tööle võtta ning siis sain ise valida, kes parima pakkumise teeb. Olen oma otsusega väga rahul. Intervjuu oli neljapäeval, reedel leppisime juba kokku, et olen töökäpp ja esmaspäevast hakkas pull pihta. Töö on heategevuslik, korjame raha pimedate juhtkoerte treenimiseks. Sularahast on asi kaugel, sõlmime tänava peal otseülekandeks lepingu. Esmaspäeval oli rohkem nagu treening ja boss Matt (kes on minust vaid paar aastat vanem, iirlane, pool maailma läbi rännanud ja ülemus on küll tema kohta palju öeldud…ülemust nagu polegi) seletas kõike nii koerte treenimisest, pimedate elust kui ka müügitehnika... read more

Bügeln am Morgen vertreibt Kummer und Sorgen! Nach unserer nächtlichen Waschaktion im Anschluss an die Outback-Safari haben wir im schnelldurchlauf unseren kompletten Kleidersatz gebügelt und noch warm in die Koffer gepackt. Mit frisch-duftender Wäsche ging es mit Flugzeug in die zweitgrößte Stadt Australiens, Melbourne. Nach einem ersten „Bummel“ durch die Innenstadt ging es zum Essen nach Chinatown (die nächsten Tage fiel uns auf, der Rest der Stadt nicht weniger von Chinesen bevölkert ist, obwohl in der Stadt Menschen aus 140! unterschiedliche Nationen zusammenleben…). Am nächsten Tag ging es mit der historischen City Circle Tram (ähnlich der Cable Cars in San Francisco) auf Erkundungstour. ok, well the day had finally come and i am finally sitting back and relaxing in a luxuious hotel called Excalibur on The Strip in Las Vegas. After a long 15 hours a flying, i have had a drink and a small gamble at the casino and am enjoying every minutes of it so far. The flight was good but really long, slept for 8 hours of it though which was really good. Flying into LA was amazing, its so HUGE!!! the mountains was amazing, Downtown LA looked amazing and the "HOLLYWOOD" sign was just little reminder that i was in America. After we had waited for a few hours in LA for our connecting flight to Las Vegas, we touched down amongst an ocean of lights, billboards, skylights, casinos and glamour!! So we finally arrived in Melbourne! Talk about a huge city. We got there in the evening of the 28th, and saw a bit that night. We walked around to find some food, but couldn’t really appreciate the size of the city since it was dark. Our hostel was really nice though. Melbourne Central YHA was really new, and was much like an apartment building. The rooms were small, and everything just felt new. Talk about a treat. But it couldn’t last forever. The next morning in fact, we headed over to Melbourne Metro, just outside the core. This place was cheaper, but still pretty good.
