I am flying home so soon. The last month has gone by so fast and I do not want to leave, but miss everyone at home a lot. Hello! Hope you enjoy by blogs about my time down under :) I am hoping to update this at least once a week while I am here for the next four months! Make sure to comment and leave me lovely messages. So to start off the trip, my mom, grandma, and me spent an hour Wednesday morning doing last minute packing and weighing of my suitcases at the house. They were so much help and I got everything packed into two suitcases, both under the 50 lb. limit, success already! We left a little early, around 1 to get to chicago before my 6 p.m. flight. Ok, here we are - planning our next adventure. This time we are off to the Northern Territory and the Kimberleys in WA. We have a month and plan to head up to Darwin, Kununnura and Halls Creek are the main destinations. We've settled in Mooloolaba for some time now. I am still doing night security and Jay has had a few promotions, from day cleaner to night cleaner and from that to receptionist. She now works 35 paid hours a week so we've been able to save up some cash. It's been nice to stay in one spot for awhile and form lasting friendships with the rest of the long-termers. We really love it here despite the usual annoyances that come with living in a busy hostel. So much has happened in the last few months that it all sort of blends together, but here are some of the highlights: -Jay and I celebrated Valentine's Day with a beach BBQ of steak and corn-on-the-cob.
