Všimla jsem si,jak jsou Australané zdvořilí. Předjíždějí vás na kole (pokud nefrčí příliš rychle, což zatím všichni frčí, když předjíždějí mě), omlouvají se. Omylem se vás někdo dotkne, nebo to jen hrozilo, omlouvají se. A dnes zjištěno: překážíte (protože fotíte) a stojíte někomu v cestě-opět se omlouvají. Vzor všech maminek jsou ti Australani. Dnes jsem si založila místní bankovní účet, ulovila první australskou kešku a potkala snad asi jedinou Češku, která na UQ studuje titul (studovat titul? Češtino, češtino, jak to vyjádřit lépe?). Ale co dnešek přinesl především podstatného: stěhování! Z Fortitude Valley jsem se přesunula do stoletého domu v Auchenflower.... fotky přikládám a více napíšu zítra, teď už dobrou noc za přímého zvuku dopravy za okny a jakékoliv akce v kuchyni ;)... read more

So the countdown has begun. This time in 48 hours I should be on my way to Auckland for a quick stop before heading on to Los Angeles for the night. Still have a shit tonne of stuff to pack for moving house tomorrow but apart from the malaria tablets and some other small things my bags for Central America are ready to go. Gonna keep this post short as its really only a tester but yeah I'm so fucking nervous right now its not even funny. Hopefully that will all change when I arrive on the other side of the planet. Well that's all for now as there isn't much excitement to talk about in being in Brisbane still. Will hopefully update before I head to Cuba with experiences from Mexico City.... read more

Why hellllllllllllllllllo! We're still in Brisbane, and so far so good. I don't really remember what I wrote in the last post so I might be a bit repetitive. We were one of the first to ring in the new year, so that was pretty cool. We had a bbq at Jessy and John's place; low key but lots of fun! John thought it was a good to pour two bottles of champagne on everyone, so he did! hahha. So far we've just been wandering around the city doing little day trips here and there. The humidity, my god, is a killer! We take a couple of cold showers a day, but that only cools you down for about 15 minutes, haha. I feel like such a mess, hahah. Other than that, lovely city! Endlich ist es soweit!!! Ich habe heute meine letzte Pruefung geschrieben. Aber es war nicht irgendeine Pruefung, es war (hoffentlich) die letzte Pruefung fuer mein ganzes Studium und dass noch dazu in Australien! Ich fuehl mich unglaublich erleichtert - obwohl die Klausuren nicht gerade einfach waren. Egal, vorbei ist vorbei und jetzt kann ich mich nach dem wochenlangen Lernen endlich auf das Reisen freuen! Heut abend wird erstmal richtig gefeiert, Klausuren und Abschiedsfeier in einem, denn am Montag geht es los in Richtung Norden, Cairns. Bis dahin noch alles packen und heimschicken und losgehts! Nachdem ich die ganze Zeit Reise werde ich nicht viel zum Schreiben kommen. Deswegen gibt es vorab einen Bericht zu meiner geplanten Reiseroute. Vorlaeufige Reiseroute: 16.6. So we are about to leave Australia:-( We have had an amazing time here in our camper van traveling up the East Coast from Sydney to Brisbane. We visited a few beach towns i.e. Seals Rocks, Coffs Harbour, Byron Bay, and Surfers Paradise. All have been very beautiful but Byron has to be our favorite (I think it is everyones favorite!). Unfortunately it was Easter weekend there and all the campsites were fully booked so we had to camp at the side of the road for a few nights with some friends we met, which turned out to be quite an experience. We had to wash in pubic toilets and had no electricity for a while (so no hair dryer, or mobile phone!) But we made the most of it and all had fun and stayed ... read more
