Australia - Nimbin
Playing Bowls with friends in Nimbin So we are about to leave Australia:-( We have had an amazing time here in our camper van traveling up the East Coast from Sydney to Brisbane. We visited a few beach towns i.e. Seals Rocks, Coffs Harbour, Byron Bay, and Surfers Paradise. All have been very beautiful but Byron has to be our favorite (I think it is everyones favorite!). Unfortunately it was Easter weekend there and all the campsites were fully booked so we had to camp at the side of the road for a few nights with some friends we met, which turned out to be quite an experience. We had to wash in pubic toilets and had no electricity for a while (so no hair dryer, or mobile phone!) But we made the most of it and all had fun and stayed safe together.
After that we all went to a little village called Nimbin which is really retro and a big Hippie place. We were welcomed into the local Bowls club to play for free and were even given coaching by the locals (My future hobby i think!). The campsite had a BBQ (like everywhere in Australia) so we made burgers on the BBQ which
was a nice change from pasta. In the morning we drove to a big water park called Wet and Wild which was fun they had some huge water rides.
Today we have arrived in Brisbane and have come to stay with our friends we met in Thailand. They are cooking us Thai and letting us stay at their place until we fly out tomorrow. We are going to see some sites this evening and tomorrow. We even have hot crossed buns as an easter treat and their friends came and bought us easter eggs!
So goodbye for now. Can't wait for New Zealand now! Enjoy the pictures.
