Hi Everyone, Just wanted to Hello from Garden Valley, Texas. I am really enjoying myself here on this beautiful Mercy Ships campus. This week we have class from 8am until 5pm but after that our nights are free.  We have been learning alot about the Mercy Ships ministry and how to raise support. It has been very interesting. I will write in more detail about what went on here when I get home. Well I better go for now, others want to use the computer too. God Bless, Angel... read more

As I slowly get readjusted to the American way of life and start my first real job out of college, it seems like I was never even in Australia and New Zealand.  Though it seems like a year ago that I was half way across the world, I could never forget the people I met, the experiences I’ve had, and my new knowledge of the world and cultures.  I had the best opportunity to travel; just graduated from college, no real job, no boyfriend, and didn’t know what I wanted to do…so I spent 7 months traveling a.k.a. “backpacking.”  Before I left I was too organized knowing exactly what I was going to be doing when I woke up to when I went to bed, I didn’t know what countries made up the UK, I didn’t ... read more

So much to say and so little time to say it! Once we get settled we will try to be more diligent in writing, but the past two weeks have been a whirlwind! I have been finishing my job as an instructor and advisor at USF, finishing my school work in my master's program, finishing writing USF's SACS report (don't ask), packing my apartment up without a job, searching for a job, and missing Jen every second of every day. I did some other stuff, too, but I won't bore you. The bottom line is I got a job at Jen's school! It was looking like a 1 1/2 hour commute each way or worse-my contract with USF was up and I did not renew so without a job in South Korea I might have been ... read more

Hi Everyone,   I'm in Mustang, OK this weekend visiting some friends on my way to Garden Valley, TX for the Mercy Ships Orientation. I arrived here yesterday just in time to see tornados on TV in other parts OK. I didn't see any bad weather on my way down here, only light rain most of the way, so that was lucky. When I got here Helen made nachos for dinner. That was very good. We talked and watched TV the rest of the night.   Today we got up early because some of their relatives were putting in a new heating and air conditioning system for them. We left and went to Best Buy and Crossroads Mall. I didn't buy anything, but David got a new Gameboy. Their whole family was pretty excited about that. ... read more

Hi Everyone, I just got back on Saturday from a 12 day stay in Ardmore, OK doing a Staples remodel. Let me tell you, this one was very different from the Bartlesville remodel. First I'll tell you about Ardmore. Ardmore is a town of 32,000 people about a half hour from the Texas border. It is a very nice friendly town. Between the hours of 8am and 10PM traffic is as bad as Wichita, KS. People are always on the go. It has a movie theatre, several restaurants of varying caliber, a Wal-Mart, a mall, a Hastings Book Store, and a very quaint looking downtown and several other stores and things to do. I was surprised that most stores closed at 8PM. I enjoyed the town more than I did Bartlesville. Our store situation was very ... read more

Finally, I get to break away for a little while.  I am going to see a friend of mine.  I will be flying into Mobile, Alabama, we'll head out to Biloxi, Mississippi then over to New Orleans for a bit.  I know it's not a spectacular European Vacation, but I have gone nowhere since being in Europe almost 2 years ago.  I am well over-due for a trip outta here. I leave in less than 2 weeks and as cheesy as it sounds I want to get as much as I can out of this trip.  I am looking into the "must see/must do's" of mostly New Orleans.  It has been a very long time since I have been there.  I was a small child and aside from the street jazz, dancing, sugar-dusted beignets, and the ... read more

This was a long and boring trip, hence the long and boring story. Enjoy my insanity. Man, what a night. Got off work at midnight, went around and did some last minute packing and laundry, and thought I’d have no problem dozing off at about 1am or so. Alas, that didn’t seem to work out. I guess I was more anxious about the trip than I thought. After tossing and turning for a while, I got out of bed and took care of a few things I was going to do in the morning. Tried to sleep again… wasn’t happening. Got up and surfed the net a bit, checked out a few sites, posted a few messages. It’s now 3am; I have to be up at 6am to be ready for the Taxi at about 7:15. ... read more

And like that, she's gone. Tampa Bay is a little less beautiful today but South Korea is about to be enriched beyond measure. Have a safe trip, princess. I will try to sleep now and dream of you.... read more

Hi all, It is 10:25 here in St. Pete and Jen is doing her final packing for the big trip. We created this web log to chronicle our upcoming adventure in Busan, South Korea, and our adventure together in life. For those who don't know is, this is Jeremy writing. I am 30 years old, a Tennessee native, and a college instructor. Jen is 25, a St. Pete girl, and just recently graduated from the University of South Florida with a Business degree. We met on November 14, 2003, started dating on December 9, 2003, exchanged "I love you's" on December 16, 2003, and got engaged on April 3, 2004! And now she is leaving me! Jen had been planning to go and teach for a year in Japan for a few years now, and I ... read more
