On Friday, we were on our way back to Pittsburgh from Florida.It was Orlando - Atlanta - Pitts flight.As we landed at Atlanta, we were bit excited.Reason!! Prakashkaka & Anukaki had their Atlanta - Pitts flight scheduled the same evening.They didnt know that we were in USA too. We have told them that we were in HOngkong.All this lie was part of the surprise that we were cooking for them.Me, Nam & Amey. In fact all from Nam's familiy were told that we were going to Hongkong for holiday.So at arrival, we checked on the indicators if their flight has left.Our flight was scheduled at 9.30 pm with slated arrival at 11.30 pm in Pitts.We roam around the Atlanta airport.Its considered as one of the busiest airports in the world. Right, so here I sit at my desk, at the school where I'm going to be teaching for the next year. And available to me is a bunch of free time and not too much to fill it up with, since I can't leave said desk. So i decided to start this blog both to record the pictures I take and try to keep most events fairly fresh in my mind. Things really started to hit once the bags came out and clothing began to pile in. I had at this point, a fanciful hope that my packing would be so efficient that I wouldn't need to pay any fees. Tuesday, 23 June (Herkimer KOA to Lewiston/Niagara Falls North KOA): We left the Herkimer KOA quite early, around 7am. After letting the GPS get us lost right off the bat, we finally located I-90 West. It’s actually the New York Thruway! The drive of about 250 miles got us to the Lewiston/Niagara Falls North KOA before noon, but they checked us in anyways. This KOA is a bit smaller and the store is only open until 6pm, but it’s still nice, and the WiFi works! After unloading, we headed into the not-so-nearby Lewiston to eat lunch at Syrgos Greek Restaurant. Very little of the food was Greek, but it was good, plentiful, and very reasonably priced. It’s official! The Dunns are finally on the road! We left town yesterday and headed towards Cleveland. The first few hours felt like we were driving through Sacremento again with no AC in the bus! Hot diggity hot!!! We then drove through some pretty bad thunderstorms. When we stopped to eat at Subway, Maddie asked us if they had a basement, in case a tornado blew through! Poor girl! We drove to Lake Erie State Park where we spent the night. Julia and I told ghost stories under the sleeping bag while Maddie and Tony played Mario Cart on her DS and ate a bag of Fritos.
