I just got back from 4 days off. They were great days off, but that last one was one of those where you realize at 10pm that you are still in your pajama pants and haven't gone outside......I got a lot done, just never left the house. I opened the door just so I could say I SAW outside. Needless to say, my brain was a bit fuzzy when I got to work. You know how I could tell? I had trouble counting to 50.....not normally a major deal, but I am flying on a 50-seat airplane and one of my first responsibilities before we can takeoff is to count the passengers. When you fly, do us all a favor and stay out of the bathroom until you are in the air!! The thing I hate ... read more

Oh my what a great short trip that was! My cousin Tylar and my friend Emilio deceded to go to Cali for a few days. The car ride there was great we jammed out to great music and listened to books on tape. We stopped at my Unlce's in Palm Springs for a night, it is always great to see him. We went to dinner and he showed us around the city. The next morning we drove up highway 74. It winds up a steep hill and has a great view not only all over the valley of Palm Springs but also the Salton Sea. We then drove through San Bernardino forest. We ended getting a little lost but arrived in San Diego by early afternoon, we checked into the hotel and then went to the ... read more

HOLA! HOLA! HOLA! Hope everybody had a meaningful and memorable Christmas and New Years...man I saw photos of the crew at Eric Price... wish I was there! My first experience of Christmas and NY in America was chilled... I spent Christmas Eve at this full on Phillipino party in LA, then Christmas day at my friend Christie's family's house in the mountains...it was nice. Sadly, I caught this nasty cold the day after Christmas and was in bed till New Years Eve almost...so a group of us just got together at the Arminta house (my 2nd home in LA), drank champagne and talked the night away. We watched "The Pursuit of Happiness" the next day...GREAT MOVIE! It really makes you feel greatful for what you have. Another highlight of my Winter break was catching the subway ... read more

Wuddup all! :) Hope things are well over there in warm ol' Aus, temps are really starting to drop over here! At one stage last night on June it was around -20 celsius or something ridiculous like that, needless to say it wasnt the best day to miss the bus but Nathan and I decided that we would do it the hard way as usual and wait around in the cold for a lift. We've had a few early starts of late, 6:30am (5:20 get up :) starts both today and tomorrow, but its actually not too bad as we get a lift in a warm car and dont need to wait for the bus to rock up in the cold! We have a pretty busy weekend coming up as its Martin Luther King day on ... read more

HI Everyone! A quick update: Sean went off to Austria on an all dude bachelor party - skiing in peaks near Salzburg! With no time to catch his breath or a cup of tea in Engand he then met up with me in California. He was my driver/chauffer the entire time here in California which is great for me but not necessarily for him... figure he's logged well over two thousand miles since his arrival maybe even three! It's been very busy since Sean arrived with wheels - I met him on arrival at LAX where I had a celebrity sighting: Jack Black of School of Rock movie fame - as usual the plane was delayed and Sean eventually made it out into the cleanish air of schmell-A. Picked up our rental then headed for our ... read more

Seufer6: Destination: Disneyland/California Adventure Friday, January 12, 2007 After a great nights rest at good friend Carol Buddin's house in San Diego, we packed up, loaded up and headed north to Anaheim to hook up with old friends Mickey and Minnie Mouse. We checked into the Desert Palms hotel, unpacked yet again, put on our walking shoes, fleece jackets and made the 1/2 mile walk down Disney Way to Disneyland. Once inside the park, we headed down Main Street to the Carousel, where we all enjoyed our first ride with Lilly. Fun for everyone. Then, we got out our maps and tried to make a plan. We were determined to see it all, ride it all, and eat it all. Perfect, the afternoon parade was about to start just for us. There was everything in the ... read more

Seufer6: Destination: SeaWorld After 6 wonderful nights on the beach in MX it was nice to head north back to the good ole USA. The border crossing was a new world record only taking us 20 minutes. We arrived at Seaworld and headed to the sea lion show where Clyde and Seamore did entertain us. Then off to see the manatees that the girls love so much. Next was a special treat "DINE WITH SHAMU" it could also be called dining with sea gulls, the gulls ate more off of our plates than Lilly and Emma did combined. A little expensive and slightly overrated, but still some great memory jams. Tanner tried hard to kick some of the birds and claimed he got a piece of a couple of them. Then off the see Shamu and ... read more

So in 19 days I will be leaving for a four month stay (give or a take a few weeks) in Amsterdam. It's crazy to think that this is actually happening. I've been planning on going abroad since I was a freshman, so this trip has been in the back of my head for a little more than two years. The fact that it's actually happening and is no longer just a plan is tripping me out. I'm ridiculously excited about going, and have all sorts of romantacized notions of living in Amsterdam and traipsing around Europe with adventerous young backpackers. Still, it will be rather sad to leave mis amigos y mi familia behind. The worst part so far is the wait. So many of my friends have already left and I still have around ... read more

Well once again nothing major has been happening, more work but June is at last open! Just in time as well as I and especially Nath were both getting a bit sick of working at Mammoth, although not a bad place to work we were kind of just pushed around and werent given a whole lot of recognition or respect. June though is a lot better place to work, our supervisors are all extremely nice and respectful and the whole mountain is just way more relaxed, which is to be expected as it is a much smaller resort. The set up is a lot better as well, the lift crew room is nicer and we have our own lockers to keep our ski gear + jackets in which helps. The shacks at the top of the ... read more
