Just as I was getting over my adventure poisoning from our road trip it was time to pack our bags again as we were off to the Sunshine Coast for more excitement - this time of the water variety. The weather was turning on a show that Kieth Martin would have been proud of and once everyone finished work on Friday the cars were packed and we were off. After an awesome drive - ferry - drive combo we arrived and settled in for the night. Magic is the only word I can use to describe the location. Lake frontage and surrounded by forest. Highlights of the weekend were: The awesome weather (we actually saw the sun and the temp got over 25 deg C). Good thing we all had sunnies as there were some white ... read more

Hey guys, here it is, "the plan,".. the impossible to follow list of dates and places I might be: June 5th Fly out of Regina to London, then London to Venice. June 13th to July 2nd will be spent in and around Mestre, doing kids programs in parks and hopefully some weekend day trips to Venice... My main goals being: 1) Not to fall in the Canal and 2) Not to kick a shoe or drop my purse in the Canal. July 4th to 9th will either be travelling to a nearby country, or will begin travelling Italy.. The plan being to train it to Naples, day trip to Herculaneum, then train it to Rome Around July 14th, we will fly to Dublin, Ireland and hang out Around July 20th, we ferry it and bus it, ... read more

Well, I did think before we left Australian shores, that our holiday wasn't going to be all beer and skittles. However I didn't think that our campervan would possibly feature in the World's Worst Driving T.V. show, or should that be called: Most Embarassing Driving Moment!! I'll now jump back a few days and resume from where we were staying in Jaspar. No peeking further down the page. Keep reading from here, otherwise you will be cursed (I've picked up a few things from the Natives!). Certainly the drive to Lake Margine from Jasper which also included Medicine Lake was spectacular. Fortunately the weather picked up and we got stunning views of huge grey slabs of rock along the highway. I just had to sit down alone on the grass overlooking Medicine Lake, mesmerised by the ... read more

Hello again...Another change of scene, I'm hangin' out with my cousin Carrie and her daughter Julie, my Aunt Cogi and Uncle Don in Kamloops. I got a good taste of Vancouver, and some good visits with fam. Carrie's boyfriend flew down from Jasper, and took us on a quick flight up to 108 mile. That was cool. I went to see my Aunt Jackie, and my great Aunt Bertha too. Work? Yeah, I should do that soon. Okay, see yas.... read more

Okay guys here it is!!! For all you asthmatics, jump for Joy!!! I finally got my new ventolin machine, I nearly cried in the office when they gave it to me, i was sooo happy, its a pound and a half and only takes about 7 minutes to complete a treatment, whereas my old machin took anywhere from 15-30 minutes. As you can see from the pictures, its alot smaller... but it seriously reminds me of those old Sony walkmens, the "Sport" kind. The blue one is my old one, weighing 10-15 pounds.. the yellow is my new one weighing 1.5 pounds... ya, ask me how happy I am! enjoy!!... read more

Well Dar and I invested in a pop up tent trailer, got a great deal. Our first camping trip was going to be local on about 20 km's from the house. We went to Cedardale Campsite www.cedardalecamp.com We had terrible weather, rained just about all of Saturday, the grounds were muddy as hell, the washrooms were not modern by any stretch of the imagination. They say on their website clean and modern, if these were clean, then I would have rather had shit in the woods. I didn't take any photos of this campsite, mainly because of the weather. The owners say they have over 200 campsites, but what they don't tell you is most of these sites are filled with permenent residents and there aren't too many to choose from. This is suppose to be ... read more

Okay, so there isn't really anything more to explain as the briefing was in the previous entry! It was all taken on the trip home in the last few months. I just thought it would be a shame to miss some of the most beautiful sights of Vancouver Island and city. Enjoy!! I'm now prepping to load photos from the last few weeks in Egypt and Jordan, which have been amazing places to experience and photograph. And at least I'll be able to show off a bit of a tan!!... read more

Crash landing in Vancouver - Stepped off the bus with 1.5 pesos - (thinking that my last little budget didn't leave much to spare) - called Mike collect - "Hey, its cousin Charlie, got in a little early . . . nope, can't get on the skytrain, don't got a dime . . . alright, thanks, see ya soon" - Met my Uncle outside the bus station - First stop on the tour: Main and Hastings - a bust must have sent a couple dealers running, and tossing their rocks - fiends were tweakin' out, searching the sidewalks for a little crack in the crack - "Hey, watch your step around here Charlie, there's a needle, there's another" - Here's Canada's first Safe Injection Site - Free Heroin Store - I guess if their gonna do ... read more
