have now had my month anniversary, and looking back i seem to have sqeezed in a fair amount in my last 30 days, landing, immigration at the airport, youth hostel life, house hunting, rags to riches moving into luxuary condo living, having my own pool to play in, still successfuly managed to no use the gym, but have found myself a brilliant massage therapist who has 'sorted' my back to the point of no more daily pain killers. bliss. and its all covered by my fancy health insurance perk of the new job. have learnt more in this job than i have in the whole of my redhouse lane experience. have managed to make a name for myself for 'jumping in with both feet in my job' and my anal attention for detail is not mocked ... read more

After almost a week in San Jose, CA, it was hard to leave. But knowing that our next stop was Toronto and Kimmy´s wedding it wasn´t that hard after all. We left San Jose at 7am and got to Toronto after midnight. What had happened...? Not much. We just had a really cheap flight that took us from San Francisco to Washinton D.C. and then to Buffalo. We got to Buffalo at 8pm and had still a bus to catch to Toronto. Little after midnight we made it to our hostel, the Downtowner Inns. A very clean and neat place. Our first day in Toronto we spent sightseeing. I think it´s a beautiful city and it´s so easy to get around. In the afternoon we were on duty. Kimmy, the bride, and her friends were ... read more

Nipped down to the local store (spa shop) for some essentials like, extra bar tenders ceaser mix and a giant watermelon (which I seem to be eating about 4 a week). Slight change from the regular pint of semi skimmed and loaf of bread. And noticed that if needs be there are fresh live lobsters swimming round in a huge tank in case I get peckish. Went via the local movie store where I am becoming quite the regular and they don’t even ask my name any more, just taken back a film called ‘friends with money’ staring Jennifer Aniston, thankfully not doing her normal Rachel character. Strange film with no real story line of 4 friends each with varying degrees of wealth and all messed up in their own special way. Move scoring of ... read more

Our major excursion on Sunday was a trip to the top of the tallest man-made structure in the world - the CN Tower. Won't bore you with the details but the tallest observation deck is way up there. Pat & Geoff took the lift to the first level - in a lift with glass walls that ran up the outside of the tower travelling at 22kph - then we waited in line to travel up a further 100 m to the tallest observation point the Sky Pod (marked on the photo) Great view, but Geoff's balance was skewed and vertigo spoilt the experience somewhat. Pat was keen to step onto a glass floor and look down 350 m but didn't. GMB didn't get anywhere near it. We polished off our final day doing some window ... read more
