Absinthe=trouble Vodka and red bull= trouble.. Ok so last night was unbeleiveable. UNBELIEVABLE!!! Ok so in our hostel we did shots of absinthe, which NOOO u do not hallucinate off of it. u just get extremely happy. And then Dvora and I decided to get a bottle of vodka and mix it with red bull. Everyone was sick and tired of waiting for us to get done finishing the bottle, so we had to take it with us. It was a crazy night in Dublin with Halloween coming upon us. Scooby Doo and a dude were out in the streets. The weather was really nice to go out without a coat. We finally were making our way to the bars and had a few stops along the way. We came upon some smart cars... and some ... read more

We finally arrived in Dublin, we are staying on a very busy street and we are staying at the Kinlay House another hostel. it is not the cleanest place, but it will do... Jen, Bev, Me, Dvora, Zach, and jeff are sharing a room, there are 3 bunkbeds, and the shower is disgusting, but its doable. Today we decided to get around and look at the city. We did this hop on hop off type tour. It bring you all around dublin in a double decker, and at each stop you can get off, and just go back to the station and hop back on and it picks u up again to go to ur next tourist place. It was very nice because u can hop off and eat lunch and get back on. It was ... read more

Top of the mornin to ya! Guinness, fiddles & banjos. Guinness, accordions & pubs. Guinness, top scenery, narrow, bendy roads & heaps of Craic! This was Ireland for me n dad. DUBLIN: We flew into Dublin & stayed @ a shithouse hostel, so first thing the next day we hired a car and hit the road for a week. ENISCOTHY: A short drive to this little village, we where a bit buggered so we stayed at a b&b in a little pub, walked round the town not too much to see. CORK: A quick detour to cook head lighthouse, which guarded the Cook Inlet and further up the coast was crook, thus the term by hook or by crook (boats would get into Ireland by either inlet) We got into cork & found a top little ... read more

Last time I visited Europe I lost my soul. I did not lose it all at once, but in small increments. As such, bits and pieces of my soul are floating around the United Kingdom and it is about time I started finding them. I captured a piece back last weekend from Beavertail in Edinburgh, and so now off to Liverpool, where I am certain the Embassy Hostel will offer me a small bit of it back at a reasonable price. What started as a simple day trip to Liverpool, brought the birth of, what is sure to be one of the most legendary rock bands the world has ever seen. Leonie, Natalia, Mitch and I sat quietly in the stuffy bus as it pulled into Manchester Piccadilly. The women in front of us shifted her ... read more

so much fun!!! i just arrived back from my 6 day southern ireland tour today. i had a great time. we got to see and do so much stuff but it was really relaxed and cruisey - at the same time as seeing a lot. hmmmm. what did i do. i can't really remember as i haven't had any time to reflect on it but a few major highlights were ... kissing the blarney stone, seeing the cliffs of moher, driving around the dingle peninsular and the ring of kerry. the scenery is absolutely amazing in ireland. i was told how green it was but nothing could prepare me really. most of the time was spent on tiny country lanes in extraoridnarily picturesque areas. we had great fun on our nights out too. thursday was probably ... read more

After four months in London it was lovely to see a friendly face from home when our friend Lin arrived from Adelaide to begin her tour of Europe. The three of us had planned a long weekend in Dublin and we were up early and on our way to Heathrow early on Friday morning to experience a little bit of the Emerald Isle. Flying Aer Lingus we were looking forward to being served by stewards with lilting Irish accents but as it turned out most, if not all of the air stewards were of eastern european background and our ears would have to wait a little longer for their treat. After a rough old flight we landed on a georgeous sunny day with not a cloud in sight - a real blessing in the ever grey ... read more
