Diego's other car is a Porsche but we can't drive it too much...he and others say there is too much resentment here for that kind of car to be in public...That's a relief to James because Diego has in the past been driven by the machine rather than drive it. The machine. He says he was clean and sober before I got there. Then he started to party. He got very blue pill on James. The thing about partying is to remember your Source in the middle of it. All chemically induced partying is a substitute for the feeling of Source. It's the soma of Brave New World and put square under the Agents control--that's what the Agents in the Matrix want. They don't want anyone to drop into the mainframe. So many don't get this ... read more

Have been in Antigua. Writing now on a keyboard at Diego's Dad's estate and en espanol. doing craniosacral therapia here on infants and on adults. People keep showing up to work on so may not make it to Tikal or the places of the Mayan. Diego is patient when work is going on, extremely cordial--the vibes seem to calm him. He contributes energy without trying to. Write somewhere on the blog that Guatemala is very much like India. both have lots of Tuk Tuks, for example, the little three wheeled cabs. Then the festivals, celebrations, like the one to Saint Cecilia the other day. Have I mentioned that Diego's sister, Cecila, lives on a coffee plantation..most all in the family had work...we set up the massage table in the center hallway of their lovely and ilght ... read more

OK, Travelblog-pc stuff. i'm still not sure if a blog is a book or more like a play for the stage, or more a comic book, but hopefully, I can pull this travel-thing off. I see it as a writing challenge. And I do like to write. How do I know I like to write? I do it all the time. If its not case notes it's a book. If its not a poem its a play. If its not an article its a website. Writing is like water. Nothing to do but accept it and go with its flow. OK, Guatemala City is the largest city in Guatemala. Diego tells "James" that Guatemala City is ranked number one in the world by the BBC as world heritage tourist destinations. This was once the land of ... read more

Yesterday the fellow Hosting in Guatamala e-mailed and asked, "What's your itinerary?" It seems he forgot. Maybe I did too. I depart at dawn. (that's a few hours from now, gotta pack). So far two people (one "Mr Anger Issues" from the Myss tour) have suggested that I be careful down there. I didn't tell them that I don't know HOW to be careful. I kind of make a report to go along with the flow, and it all works out. Come to think of it--maybe this is in my favor--I don't know--I don't know HOW to do anything. Well, as they say, Vaya Con Dios! You are welcome to come along for the ride too! Who knows what will happen next? The Myss tour was like a Family Epic on Masterpiece Theater, the trip ... read more

Before I go on about Chichicastenango, I realized I forgot to explain why the local buses are called Chicken Buses. Basically anyone is allowed to bring aboard pretty much any kind of cargo which sometimes includes live chickens. You pretty much never know what to expect when you get on. I also forgot to show you a picture, this one isn´t that great, I have to take a better one, but you get the idea... Most of them are more colorful and have a woman´s name painted across the side, usually a daughter´s or wife´s. The same is for most of the comedors, restaurantes, cantinas, etc. Anyways, So yesterday I visited the town of Chichi to walk amongst their weekly Sunday market which covers about 10 to 15 street blocks, it is so big! I thought ... read more

So Thursday morning I changed my mind about going to Chichicastenango for the market and decided to take the bus to Quetzaltenango to do some exploring. It is the biggest city in the western part of Guatemala, very close to the Mexico border. It is also referred to as Xela, that is what the indigenious people call it. I was quite unsure of my decision to go here cause I really had no idea what I was going to do there, but as usual I ended up having a great time. The city centre is absolutely amazing, all of the buildings are very old and the architecture is amazing. I think my favorite place was the theatre. I have never seen such an amazing place! I got to see the inside too, and it made me ... read more

Hola! Right now I am at what is said to be the most beautiful lake in the world, lago de atitlan. It is a huge body of water surrounded by volcanoes and many small villages that you can take boats to and visit or stay for the night. When I first arrived here I went to the village Santa Cruz La Laguna. It is a very tiny village, and most of the people don´t actually speak spanish, they speak in their mayan village language, I forget the name of it. Anyways, while there I stayed at this place on the water called La Iguana Perdida (the lost iguana). It was a really nice place with great staff, and a great Saturday night party. Every Saturday night they host a cross dressing party where everyone staying there ... read more

OK! First off I want to apologize for taking so long to write a new update. Problems with the blog site prevented me from doing a big update days ago. I left Ryan on the 21st in San Pedro at Lago de Atitlan first thing in the morning. It wasn't the best goodbye because he had picked up some kind of stomache bug the night before so as I was leaving he was quite sick. Made sure everything was OK then headed off to the dock around 8am. Landed in Panajachel and shopped around for a ride to Guatemala city. Found a van, and stopped in Antigua en route. Got in Guatemala city 3 minutes before the next bus left for Rio Dulce, was in a bad place being in such a hurry, with no food ... read more

OK, first of all I want to let eveyone know that I´ve added a few pictures to the blog entry about our jungle trip. If you were curious about some of the stuff I talked about in there visit it now for additional pictures! I left Antigua on the 16th. Ryan, I, and a girl named Sarah travelled to Lago de Atitlan which is a huge lake a couple hours northwest of Antigua. There are several towns on the lake, and we´re staying in San Pedro. It´s very cool being on a lake, the lake is huge, windy and we had to take a boat over to the other side. The bus from Antigua took us to Panajachel and from there we got on a boat and eventually to San Pedro. We´re staying at a place ... read more
