Anyone want to join us? Anyone already been?

My fiance and I are thinking about doing the trek to El Mirador and we were looking for people who might want to join us on the trek. The price goes down with more people. We will be in Guatemala from April 2-17 so our dates to do the trek are flexible. If you're interested please let me know.

Also if there is anyone out there who has done this trek and can offer us any insight or recommend any guides it would be greatly appreciated. Reply to this

I am looking for some tough hikers who are interested in joining me on a number of hikes into the El Mirador region. I am planning my 5-day Mirador hikes on the following dates:
2010. November 14-18
2010. Nov. 27 - Dec. 1.
The cost is about US$100 per person for the 5(-6) day trek. There are no mules, we will carry our own supplies, but the guide, a native English speaker has done this many times.

I will be in Honduras starting end of February and thinking on doing a south america trip. This hike sounds interesting and would love to hear more about it. Perhaps is something I do before or after my month trip in South America. Please send me details. 😊 Reply to this

Myself and my girlfriend will be in that general area during that time as well. I will be in the yucatan, guatemala and belize from the 19th of March to the 12th of April and might be interested.

Depending on the trip length myself and girlfriend would like to do it. Looks incredible, and unspoiled.

Anyone know the shortest hike tour there? I dont know if I want to trek for 5 or 6 days. There are so many other ruins in central america that are more accessible.

Also if that doesnt work out, maybe we should get together and see some others like piedras negras, or caracol. Both are remote when traveling in numbers is better. Reply to this
