Today we were heading for Glacier National Park which is about 1 ½ hours north from Bigfork. Unfortunately Dad was still unwell so he decides to stay home and rest so Karen came with us for the day. We left after brekkie and up the Highway and in the distant you could see the ranges they were very impressive. We arrived at the rangers station and payed for our permit into the park and made our way along a narrow and windy road for about 45mins. The view was just awesome we soon made our way up the mountains were the road dug into the rock and the other side was a steep drop. Today Dad and Karen were arriving here and Jake and I went into Whitefish to pick them up from the train station. We got there a bit early and the train was late so we went and found a Starbucks and chilled out for a while. The train pulled up just after 8 am and we met Dad and Karen as they got off. They had got the overnight train from Portland and had a great time looking at all the sights. We soon headed back to Bigfork and dropped all their gear off at our cabin and had a cupper and a chat. The girls were happy to see them and were telling them what they had been up to. Dad and Karen soon got settled and we headed down to the house to say ... read more

Today we were heading down to Jens mum and dad’s house for breakfast and to start sorting out a few things for the wedding. We had waffles and jam and they were yummy. Margaret Jen and Aya and Abby went into Kalispell which is about 45mins north to get some stuff for the wedding and the week ahead so it was good for the girls to get out and about for a while. We soon headed down to the lake for the girls to have a swim and to play on the rocks. On Friday were having a bonfire on the beach so we collected drift wood from the lakes edged. We made a small fire and made a big pile of wood to burn which was getting bigger by the minute. There is so much ... read more

Today we were heading towards Bigfork and it was going to take about 4 ½ hours so we had brekkie in the hotel first. We had to get some dresses for the girls as Jake and Jen asked them to be flower girls for the wedding. So we went to Spokane Valley mall and got some nice outfits for them and some shoes. On our travels we crossed into Idaho State which we travelled for about an hour. Then we crossed over into Montana which took us over the Coeur D’Alene Mountains which were huge. We soon headed on to Bigfork and the road was really good until we hit the river. Most of the bridges are being worked on at the moment and the road works slowed us down a little. We soon exited the ... read more

Today we got up and got the bags in the car and headed to the markets that we saw last night on the T.V. We soon found the markets and headed in to have a look at all the stalls. There were all sorts of nick knacks and food stalls and cloths just the normal market stuff. Abby and the girls got some fresh juicy red cherries and some pop corn. I got a print of Led Zeppelin on a record which was cool. We soon found the street cart it was very busy the name of it was called Maxinus Minimus it was shaped like a pig. I waited in line and order a BBQ pulled pork sandwich and a homemade ginger-lemonade. The sandwich was awesome the flavours were yummy I can see why it ... read more

Jake and Jen wanted to take us out for breakfast so we got ready and went down to a nice little cafe and had a real nice brekkie and food was good. After brekkie we carried on to the tram stop and caught the tram into town. The tram fare was really good $ 2.00 for a all day pass which was well worth it.
