WOW, What a day!!! Disneyland is THE most magical, wonderful and happy place :) Stu and I always said, even before having our girls that we would love to take our kids to Disneyland one day. We have made that dream and goal come true today :) Disneyland definently lives up to it's name, well and truely. We arrived at Disneyland and headed to the carpark to park, it in itself was just about the length of Chermside - absolutely massive and it was 6 levels high!!!. Then we had to walk down to an area where we lined up to hop on a motorised tram which took us to Disneyland itself. After entering we were blown away by the sheer size of it. Our alarm woke us up at 7.30 am and we still felt sleepy as our body clocks are still in ozzie time, we got the girls dressed and headed down for brekkie at the restaurant in front of the hotel. All I can say I thought Brisbane was bad...... We made it in one piece and got valet parking, it was a bit strange giving the keys ... read more

We are finally here. Was a long first day to our holiday - I seriously do not know how some people can do those long-leg flights on a regular basis!! We were lucky to get seating on the plane where the bassinets usually go so we had heaps of leg room. We flew V Australia and we can't fault them so far, meals were pretty good and staff were really nice. When we flew into LA, the weather was not how we were expecting it to be - it was overcast and sprinkling with rain. By the afternoon it had cleared though and we saw the nice blue skies that you expect. After leaving the airport, we caught the shuttle bus to pick up our beasty hire car - Jeep Commander, very impressed as we'll be ... read more

2 sleeps to go.....that's what our girls tell us. It has been over a year since we knew that this trip would be happening. (Even before our Thailand/Malaysia holiday) The main purpose of this trip is to see Jake and Jen marry in Montana, (which we can't wait for!) but has grown into the "trip of a lifetime" for our little family. There has been a lot of planning and over a period of 6 months the trip grew from a 3 week holiday to 6 weeks of travelling the West Coast and inland a bit. Still lots to do so will update closer to departure.....OMG OMG OMG... read more
